[Question #2639] HIV Risk

Hi and thanks for taking my question.  I don't think I am at risk, but just want to be sure.   I went to a massage parlor last week.  The girl masturbated me.  She also sucked on my nipples and I on hers.  No sign or taste of blood.  However, about 10 days prior, my nipples had been irritated due to  wearing a cycling jersey -but again - no discernible blood .  This is not a normal process for me.   What is my risk of contracting HIV  from this activity?

Welcome to the Forum.  The activities that you describe were no risk events for the acquisition of HIV and other STIs.  There is no known risk from receipt of masturbation, from sucking a partners' nipples or having your nipples sucked.   This is true irrespective of whether there was blood, breast milk, or other bodily fluids present.  There is no need for testing of any sort in relationship to this event.  EWH

Thank you Dr. Hook.  I can breath a little easier.    Thank you for the work you do - you are really helping people.

One more thing - if there was any kind of cut on my nipple and she had a cut in her mouth - is that a risk?

No, no change in my assessment or in your risk related to the possible presence of an abrasion or cut on your nipple.  Still no risk and no need for testing.

This is my third reply to your questions.  As a result, this thread will be closed later today and while you may post, there will be no further replies.  EWH
