[Question #2904] Transmission of STD via Cunnilingus

Hello, I have had unprotected cunnilingus with 3 CSWs between 3 and 6 months past. I have had no symptoms at all, but understand this doesn't mean anything. I am nervous that I may have passed something to my female partner via cunnilingus. There was no unprotected penile/vaginal penetration with the CSWs but my partner and I have very occasional unprotected penile/vaginal sex. If I passed anything on I believe the only chance would be via cunnilingus. Please let me know your thoughts on chances of my catching oral Chlamydia or Gonorrhea and passing it on. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your question.
Oral sex in general is low risk for all STDs, especially for cunnilingus. I cannot say your risk of gonorrhea or chlamydia was zero, but there's probably under one chance in a thousand you now have an oral infection with either of them. And your own partner(s) are not likely to be at risk, both because you probably aren't infected and because oral to genital or oral-oral (kissing) are very low risk as well. Of course the unprotected vaginal sex with your regular partner carries no risk from the other exposures: if you were infected, it is localized to your oral cavity and cannot be transmitted by vaginal sex, only by oral contact (cunnilingus).
If these are your only sexual experiences outside your main relationship, I see no need for testing. However, as I said, it isn't possible to know with certainty unless you have throat swab testing. But if we put it in personal terms, i.e. if somehow I were in your situation, I would not be tested and would continue my normal sexual relations with my regular partner.
I hope this information is helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.
