[Question #3857] Oral Sex

I'm a male that received unprotected  oral sex from a female 4 weeks ago. I had a place come up on my penis that my doctor said wasn't an STI. However, I've been having these large places come up between my thighs on both sides since about 3 days after the encounter. They come and go. I have had them before from my legs rubbing together,  but they look different now.  They mostly bleed when they open up. Could I have herpes or something else showing up on my inner thigh as my initial outbreak when it wasn't an exposed area?  The only other symptom I have had is an itching penis but it started and went away when I was taking an antibiotic for something else. Does any of this sound like an STD/STI?

It sounds more like a fungal infection to me based on the location of the "places". Fungal infections can get so bad that the skin will break down, especially in the area where the leg meets your body, in the groin area.   I feel pretty strongly that if you had new herpes, it would show up first in the location exposed, i.e., your penis.  I would suggest that you go in to be seen, especially since they are bleeding, not because I think they should like herpes.  It's possible that your partner had a yeast infection and you got the yeast (fungus) in this area and it loves growing there - dark, moist area for growth.  Please get checked out again to be sure about what is going on here.
