[Question #4627] Still Worried......

Hi Doctors,

Nearly 6 months ago I had an unprotected encounter with someone who isn't my regular partner and I'm deeply ashamed and feel deeply guilty. I'm a guy and this was my first and only time with another guy. This included unprotected, oral ( giving and recieving) analingus ( recieving only) fingering ( both him and me) and less than a minute of my penis entering his anus.

I had various tests over an 11 week period....

Full STI panel after 4 days- all negative

HIV prick test at 3 weeks- negative

HIV antibody and Chalmydia and Gonnorhea at 4 weeks- all negative

Syphilis blood from arm at 5 weeks- negative

HIV duo (blood from arm) at 6 weeks- negative

Chlmayida and Gonn urine test at 7 weeks- negative

HIV and Syphilis blood test from arm at 11 weeks- negative

The last test was back in September, yet i am still struglling to believe that i didn't catch anything and the tests were wrong. I recently ordered an online test which i sent back today and am awaiting the results- can I be 100% certain i can move on from this ordeal and no longer worry about being infected or worry about the chances of infecting someone else? When I did the urine test today, i noticed a few tiny white particles floating in my urine and now i am more worried than ever.

Just to confirm, i am seeking professional help for my anxiety and realise this coul all be in my head.

Hello, this says it’s been updated but can’t seem to see where??

This is your 6th post regarding this exposure over the past three months.  Repeating your questions and further testing will not change the answers you have already received - your results are 100% conclusive, you were not infected.  You need to believe your negative tests and move forward.  Rather than continue to feed your anxieties through repeating answers you have already received, I need to warn you that further repetitive, anxiety-driven posts may be deleted without a response and without a return of the posting fee.  EWH---

I’m sorry Dr, I’m just struggling to believe them! I keep thinking the clinic must have got it wrong or somethings been missed?

I’m assuming so many negative results would mean for sure I wasn’t infected as it’s highly unlikely the staff at the clinic would make so many mistakes?

Missed once, unlikely but possible.  Missed on multiple occasions- no way.  Believe the results.  EWH---

Thank you Dr, so I’m assuming the latest tests I’ve sent off today will all come back negative??

Did you have any thoughts on what the small pieces of white sediment in my urine might have been?

Thanks so much for all you do and I promise not to return with the same questions

Final answers.  Correct. When your tests come back negative, please believe them.  They will be conclusive.

The material you may be seeing in your urine could be normal cellular debris or crystalline material from your bladder.

Take care.  Please don't worry.  I hope you will move forward. EWH
