Frequently Asked Questions
This service connects you with one of our professionals for only $25 per question. You can ask an initial question and two follow-up questions. Questions are limited to 1000 characters (about 200 words).
The charge will appear as “ASHA/NCCC” on your credit card statement. ASHA is the acronym for the American Sexual Health Association. Ask the Experts is an ASHA program. NCCC is the National Cervical Cancer Coalition, another ASHA program.
Ask whatever you want to know, but know that our experts can’t give you direct medical advice. For that you will need to go to your healthcare provider.
Each user is limited to two questions in any six-month period. This policy assures that the forum will not be dominated by relatively few users, and is also intended to limit anxiety-related questions with little educational value. Third and subsequent questions, as well as repetitive questions that in the opinion of the moderators are driven by anxiety or have obvious answers, will be deleted without reply and without refund of the posting fee.
Start by purchasing a question in our online. Once that is done, you can post a question to our online system. There will be a link on the checkout page to post your question—just navigate the to “Ask a New Question” tab while logged in to post your questions.
Please note that you are still able to post your question, even if your order says it is processing.
Initial questions must be no longer than 1,000 characters, including spaces (about 200 words) and must be posted in the initial space provided. Longer questions that exceed the automatic limit or that are continued in a second comment window will be deleted without reply. Please type your question directly in the space provided and do not copy and paste from another program – this will help avoid formatting issues that make questions difficult to read.
Once you have posted, you should expect a response typically within 48 hours. You can then engage in a discussion with our assigned team member.
You will have two weeks to submit your follow-up questions, at which point the thread will be closed.
We highly recommend not putting information either in your screen name or in your questions that will identify you to others. (See next question for more).
Once your question is answered, you will receive an email letting you know to log in.
