Does this sound like herpes ? Had protected sex with a csw but unprotected oral, seemed like after 24/36 hrs I noticed the tip of my penis felt itchy , and I noticed a purple groin line. I was advised to use fungal cream but it didn’t seem to help , seemed like it never got better for months and I think I might of actually had a allergic reaction to the various creams , it got super bright red on the glans and swollen, I got prescribed a steroid cream and it started to peel the next day . I did talk to an online dermatologist and he advised me it was dermatitis after viewing pictures and it seems like it’s a lot better not just anxious about it. But it has almost been going on for a year now off and on since exposure so it’s played a toll on me mentally , I did get a herpes igG done at 19 weeks and both negative , I have never had a blister,sore,discharge or any pain urinating. Just redness and itching/irritation. Sorry I know my story kinda was all over the place. I feel like if it was herpes it wouldn’t last for the durations, it for sure lasted for a month or longer being red and never had a blister or got worse. Plus the hyper fixation didn’t help. Side note I was tested for other sti to and they were negative. I just have a tough time thinking this isn’t a sti after I had sex with a CSW! That’s all 

I guess what I wanna know from your experience is , can I have symptoms this early if it is hsv? Think it happen around 2-3 am on a Saturday and noticed it around the afternoon on Sunday. Also with it being just red and itchy if it was hsv would it last for 3/4 weeks? I applied the anti fungal again and it started in December and I didn’t get relief until like march after I followed what the dermatologist suggested. I really hope it was just a skin condition that I made worse myself. Plus I also had redness on my balls, and they were itchy too with red dots but they disappeared within a few days. Also I have had sex with the same person unprotected probably 10-15 times over this year span and she has had no symptoms. 

I would certainly agree with you that herpes symptoms wouldn't last this long nor do your symptoms sound anything like herpes to me, in their presentation.  ---

Ok well that’s good to hear , have you ever seen herpes appear 24/36 hrs before? And if this was herpes would the redness eventually progress into something ? When it got really bad on the foreskin was thickin from itchying and the front of the glans was bright red , basically the whole front of my penis glans covered in red, I got some betaderm cream from the doctor and it peeled like the next day , so in that case If it was truly herpes would that happen ? My doctor also just visual looked at it twice and said no visual sign either , said looks like irritated dermatitis. Sorry I know I repeated my self and I believe your answer, just ready to put this behind me, don’t wanna have blister in a year or

No never had herpes before , ok puts my mind at ease , really don’t think this is herpes , crazy how the mind can make you believe things , I am not sure if I went over my limit , I just wanna say thank you , I know you get a lot of repeated question, thanks for helping
