Friday before last, a massage went further than expected. Somehow I ended up pleasuring her manually. No oral. She orgasmed twice heavily. Massage went on for an hour but this episode lasted maybe 10-15 mins. Drunk. But, my hands were intact. This was not my intention for what it is worth. Also, want to add that your collective posts have massively reduced my anxiety. I was going to book an expensive hiv rna test, for this Friday. 2 weeks - but it felt ridiculous. A few questions all the same to finish any lingering doubts I hope.1. Hands intact as far as I could see and feel - believe me, I inspected. Does this reduce even theoretical risk (struck by lightening) to categorically zero for HIV? This forget about this entirely. Stupid to think otherwise?2. Thinking I have put the first one out of my mind, whitlow. I have had hsv 2 fears before. Even though your posts repeatedly state now risk for HJ, in the past I felt the need to test out at 16 weeks (twice in fact) I am most certainly negative prior to this latest incident. Anyway, just to be clear, she never touched my penis, only me her. I realize that herpatic whitlow is rare, but there is theoretical risk. Again without any cuts on hands would this again be a absolute impossibility of acquiring whitlow through intact skin assuming she had hsv2?3. It has been 10 days - no blisters on fingers. My ongoing fear with hsv2 in the past was due to the asymptomatic carriers. As I have hsv 1 cold sores from a kid - again this was confirmed when I had my tests but I knew this anyway - I was also worried that I read hsv1 can severely reduce symptoms. Hence the anxiety driven need to test out in the past. From reading Terri’s posts, it appears whitlow is always symptomatic. Does asymptomatic whitlow simply not exist? And is 2 weeks a guarantee of no infection? In short, no symptoms, intact skin - again, an impossibility for hsv2?

Yes, forget about worrying about this
If you had acquired whitlow, and it's two weeks out, you would have had symptoms by now.

Thanks.
1. If skin is intact, does this mean fingering is safe - even if partner is hsv2 infected? Is this a concrete rule one can always rely on to avoid hsv2 transmission - coupled with Hunter and Edward stating HIV is never transmitted through fingering? Not that I intend to do this again.
2. No signs on my finger, as stated but, the front of my foot I developed a scab. This was a week ago today. It is all but healed - I used sudocrem. It was probably through playing with my children in a pool, but I do not recall injury. Like I scrapped it at the bottom of the pool. However, my foot was never near her vagina. She did touch herself though and I think massaged me afterwards. There was no break of skin on my foot as far as I can recall. Could this be herpes related?
3. We also French kissed. Is this a risk of oral hsv2? No outbreaks and I have prior hsv1 infection from childhood cold sores. Should I be concerned.
4. Finally - most certainly anxiety driven - I found a place where I could get doxycycline. Taken x3 100 mg a day for one week - starting on the Monday (event took place early hours of Saturday) I have since taken 200 mg a day for one week - that means two weeks on it from today. Is this sufficient to prevent incubating syphilis?
Would you completely forget about this episode if you were I. Paranoid as I have a family and it was a stupid - but I thought zero risk whilst intoxicated - mistake.
Basically, dismissed HIV, doxycycline helped with syphilis paranoia. HSV 2 fear lingers due to my foot, but is this a stupid fear? She could have rubbed secretions into my foot?
Apologies for the disorganization. Just want to be aware and hopefully be convinced if that is what you say.
6. No need to test for anything?

Yes, finger is safe if skin is intact, even if the person has HSV 2.
I don't believe there is any concern at all about your foot and your contact and herpes.
Oral HSV 2 is very rare aslo and you already have oral HSV 1 so I don't think this is a concern either.
I think you are covered for syphilis as well.
I realize that you have lots of concerns about this contact, but as I review again what you've describe, I don't believe you have a risk here of a sexually transmitted infection. And no, I don't believe you need to test for anything.

Hello Terri.
I would have all but moved on but for the foot rash.
No real pain. As I said, healed with sudocrem after a couple of days. But my skin is slightly redenned over a week later when the skin is healed.
On the same foot between the little toe, I have some athletes foot as I play a lot of sport. Mind started thinking as she touched herself privately to climax and then possibly massaged my foot afterwards, could secretions have entered my body that way? I think in all likelihood not. I also think it would have hurt and I did not notice pain.
1. Is this even a theoretical scenario - have you ever seen hsv2 acquired this way? I have read Handsfield say ‘duh, sexually transmitted infections for a reason. Would you agree entirely with your experience?
2. If, hypothetically, one acquired hsv 2 this way on the foot, would it be notably painful and obvious like whitlow on the hands? Not something I would have barely noticed unless I was anxiety driven?
How would symptoms on the foot manifest? Painful blisters that burst? Sores? Clear discomfort? Would hsv 1 not reduce symptoms? Just need the assurance this could no way be the case and not drive me insane for a further 9-13 weeks to test out. Detailed description of how it would manifest may help me.
3. Could an athletes foot crack provide a gateway even? And if it did, would the symptoms come from that point of entry? Again, not even sure if it was present at the time.
I am in contact with her and she claims she is clean ‘she is a masseuse, not a sex worker’ she replied when I asked about her sexual health. Yet she also told me it is common practice for extras but not sex. She seems lady like tbh. Chinese. Move on?

Yes, I would agree completely
2.

Yes, it would but I can say I've never seen herpes on a foot unless the person has genital herpes as well. And then, only once in my career
How
would symptoms on the foot manifest? Painful blisters that burst? Sores?
Clear discomfort? Would hsv 1 not reduce symptoms? Just need the

They would appear as water blisters that would break open, ulcerate and scab over.
3. Could an athletes foot crack provide a

Please move on. Your guilt about the experience, I suspect, is making your worry worse. Try your best to realize that this isn't what is going on here.
