[Question #10145] Final question

Hi doctors, sorry for returning. I believe you are able to access my previous posts. My symptoms are still persisting the main ones being bubbly urine pain in testicles and some pain that comes and goes in my abdomen and joints. I know that my symptoms are consistent with CPPS and I have addressed those concerns with a urologist. Of all the doctors I have seen they all don’t seem to be as up to date with the accuracy of hiv test results and when they ask if I want to be tested I say no because of previous responses to my questions on here.

I have read through a lot of the threads on this site as it obviously comes from experts like yourselves and have kept myself off all other internet searches, but have you ever heard of someone being negative at 6 months 4th gen and negative oraquick at 7 months end up turning positive at some point? After seeing responses to other incidents it sounds like my chances of acquiring HIV were low based off the statistics of transmission if the partner had untreated HIV and the sex was unprotected and in my case it was partially protected as I don’t know when the condom actually broke. Would other symptoms be present if the cause of my bubbly urine which has been going on for over 3 months now was due to HIV? I have over 7 negative tests full panel including 4th gen with the most recent being over 6 months from exposure. My anxiety is still sky high and am addressing that but just still don’t feel comfortable especially continuing unprotected sex with my girlfriend. And my last question would be do you know what could be causing the tip of my penis to become red after ejaculation? At other times throughout the day too I get this like red blotchiness similar to after masturbation but it’s never itchy/painful. Sorry for second post I was having submission issues. Again sorry for returning and thank you all for everything you do. I am addressing the anxiety over this whole incident with a professional.

Welcome back to the Forum although it is unfortunate that you felt the need. In reviewing our last interaction I made the following reply which still holds- " I'm sorry for your lingering concerns but the answers are not going to change- your tests are conclusive. Further, it appears that you have been searching the internet regarding your problems. This is a bad idea, particularly for an anxious person such as yourself-much of what is there will be misleading, either because it is out of date, taken out o context, of just plain wrong. The misinformation there is only going to fuel your anxiety. It may be worthwhile to discuss the chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) with your urologist- some of your symptoms are suggestive (the CPPS is well describe in Wikipedia)
Your symptoms (dribbling after urination, bubbly urination, urine remaining in urethra after urination) are not symptoms of an STI. Foamy urine is a non-specific finding that does not necessarily suggest HIV and your test results have unequivocally proven that you do not have HIV. "
The good news is that it appears that you may be staying off the internet. The bad news is that you cannot get by your concerns and you need to. Let me summarize what has been said before and is still true:
1. Your exposure was relative low risk.
2. More importantly you have been tested repeatedly with highly reliable tests at times when the results are conclusive. All of these tests have been negative. They are not going to change. Further testing is a waste of time and resources.
3. Your assumption, in part through a process of elimination, that you have CPPS, remains your most likely diagnosis.
In response to your newish question- no, there are no instances in which persons with multiple negative tests of the sort you describe turning positive- none.
My recommendation, made our of concern for you, is that you need to discuss your inability to accept that you do not have an STI or HIV with a trained counselor. Such counseling is not to suggest you are crazy or ill, but to indicate that you need professional help in determining why you cannot move on. you are clearly not succeeding in your own efforts. EWH

Thank you for your reply and I am working through the anxiety with a professional. I appreciate your concern truly and I thank you for your input. Would you be able to just respond with your insight to my last question regarding the redness/Blotchiness and what you think may be the cause. Thank you

I cannot tell you the cause of the redness/blotchiness you describe however, I can assure you that it is not caused by HIV or any STI. Perhaps due to self examination, perhaps a manifestation of anxiety but undoubtedly, not HIV, not an STI. EWH---

Just a final response for this thread. I received my blood work results from the kidney doctor I saw and I guess he did tests for hep B based off my symptoms and it was 3 separate tests. I was reactive for hep B surface antibody, non reactive for hep b surface antigen and non reactive for hep b core igm antibody. This means that I never had hep b and am vaccinated correct? It doesn’t mean that I have hep B? They provide no clarification just the results the test was done through quest but after finding what results mean on hepb.Org it seems that it just means I have the antibodies for hep b from getting the vaccine. Thanks

These results are entirely consistent with having been vaccinated for Hepatitis B. In addition, the show that you do NOT have hepatitis B.
You really need to move on. Further posts may be deleted without a comment and without return of your posting fee. End of thread. EWH
