[Question #10177] Risk Assessment
|
Last night I had a threesome encounter with 2 escorts ( I am male and the other two females. Both escorts are from UK) where in we engaged in Kissing, Unprotected oral sex on each other (giving oral sex to both, receiving oral sex from both), Rimming ( I gave rimming to both of them) but we had no penetrative sex.
I usually dont have sex that much, and this sexual encounter was around after 1 year.
Can you please assess the risks associated with this encounter and let me know whether should I worry about anything in this case ?

Welcome back to the forum. Thanks for your continued confidence in our services.
Your last question a year or so ago concerned oral sex, and Dr. Hook gave you very reassuring replies. Those still are valid. Oral sex is low risk in general -- and zero risk for some infections. Dr. Hook also advised about the absence of STD/HIV. risk form kissing. The risk for the oral partner in rimming (oral-anal contact) is not for STDs, but for various intestinal infections. Another aspect is that escorts -- usually meaning expensive female sex workers by appointment -- tend to have very low STD risks. Most care about their health, have safe sex, are tested frequently, and mostly have low risk clients, i.e. men like you.
So I really don't see significant STD risk from the events of last night. The riskiest aspect is from the unprotected oral ses on you. Over the next week or so you should be alert to symptoms like painful urination, discharge of pus or mucus from your penis, or penile blisters or sores. If nothing shows up, I would not recommend testing. But if you would like additional reassurance, you could have a urine test for gonorrhea in the next few days. But really, that's all I would be concerned about in the absence of any symptoms that you might notice.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thanks Dr Hunter for addressing my query.
Regarding the riskiest aspect that you have highlighted about unprotected oral on me, would we be able to quantify that risk (how much risky would that be) and which particular STD are we speculating in this aspect ?
I also have some issue of Bleeding gums, do we have to be concerned about it with regards to the event that I have just described ?

As a rough estimate, probably the chance you acquired any STD was on the order of one chance in a thousand. As noted, gonorrhea is the most likely one that matters. In case you're worried about HIV, there has never been a proved case of it being transmitted mouth to penis or by performing cunnilingus (oral sex) on an infected female partner. Having bleeding gums probably does not significantly change this near-zero risk.---
