Hi Dr.s as you are aware I had unprotected oral exposure from a Csw exactly 2 weeks ago.
As per Drs recommendation I went ahead and got tested for Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia on day 9 and it was negative.
I want to mention
I have had following symptoms since oral exposure

on day 9 I had an increased urge to urinate almost every few mins. Which made my life extremely uncomfortable
I also had testicular discomfort and inner thigh pains mainly towards one side (left)
I gave my urine sample on day 9th but couldn’t wait for the results and went to planned parenthood to see a clinician.
She felt it could be chlamydia and ordered doxy 2 pills for 7 days for me.
Before I could take the pills my results came on day 10 and they were negative for gonorrhoea and chlamydia. I also got tested for trich which came negative as well.
Now on day 14 I have the same issue the urge to urinate is really bad I also have testicular discomfort which mainly exists when I’m sitting. Also the the tip of my penis feel weird it’s almost a tingling sensation.
I have not noticed any discharge and neither do I have any severe pain.
But the urge to urinate and the general discomfort has me worried

Also a little confused about my test results as it was recommended to not urinate for an hour before test I’m not 100% sure if I followed that.
Also I do have doxy medications with me which are untouched. Do you believe I should go ahead with them and finish the course.
Are any tests recommended?
I’m new to USA and do not have a pcp so where do you think I should go if I need to get a treatment.

Welcome back to the Forum.  I would not have recommended antibiotics (doxycycline) for the symptoms you are experiencing, particularly now that you have negative test results.  Urinary urgency and frequency are not signs of STIs although many health care providers are unaware of this.  anxiety is well described to be associated with urinary frequency and awareness of testicular discomfort.  Similarly, testicular discomfort in the absence of a penile discharge, which you do not have is typically not due to an STI, particularly if the discomfort comes and goes.  Discomfort at the tip of the penis is described as an occasional symptom of prostatitis (which is typically not due to STI pathogens) or perhaps a kidney stone.

The recommendation to not urinate for an hour before collecting a specimen for STI testing is pretty standard but research has shown that results remain reliable even if the interval between last urination and collection of a specimen for STI testing.

At this time I do not see a medical or scientific need for additional testing, nor for antibiotics.  Consultation with a urologist may be helpful. This is almost certainly not an STI related to the brief receipt of oral sex you mentioned in your prior thread.  EWH
