Good day drs , I am 20 year old male , I made the mistake and had unprotected sexual intercourse ( bottom ) with one guy who I don't know his medical status ( one night stand ) after that intercourse I didn't feel any symptoms thus I didn't have an hiv test until weeks after ,,  I had my first HIV test at ( week 7 ) which came back negative then I re did the test at ( week 10 ) and also ( week 12 ) both came back negative ,, lastly I did my most recent test before couple of days ( week 18 ) which also came back negative ,, are these test results conclusive ? can transfer the virus to anybody by any chance even though the results are negative ?

Welcome to our Forum and thanks for your questions.  I'll be glad to comment.

Statistically it is unlikely that your partner had HIV- most people do not.  More importantly however, your HIV test results at weeks 7, 10, 12, and 18 all provide absolute proof that you were not infected.  You can be confident of your test results.  There is no need for further testing- you did not get HIV from the exposure you describe.

Other STIs, in particular gonorrhea and chlamydia are far more common and far more infectious than HIV.  I hope that you had rectal swab tests performed for these STIs.

I hope that his information is helpful.  I would suggest that in the future you ask partners if they have HIV and if they say no, ask when the last time they were tested is. This will reduce your risk for future STIs, including HIV.

Thank you dr for the response ,, so I understand from your response that I don't have HIV ? and I did  urine test for the other sti's at the same time as I did the hiv test so weeks 7,10,12,18 I did the urine test and all negative is it any difference between the urine and the rectal swab test and are these also conclusive ? one last question after the last test maybe yesterday I musterbated and some semen  landed on my hand and I accidentally touched my mouth , could this cause HIV ?

Thanks for the additional information.  You can be confident in all of your test results- you do not have HIV or any of the other STIs tested for.

HIV is not transmitted by the transfer of genital secretions on a persons hands to other parts of the body, including the mouth/throat.  The event you describe was no risk.  EWH

thank you dr , so I don't need to do rectal swab test ? the urine test at weeks 7,10,12,18 is enough for gonorrhea and chlamydia?

-note I don't have any symptoms

I apologize, I misunderstood your reply.  If you have not had a rectal swab, I would advise you to have one to test for gonorrhea and chlamydia.  There is no need for another urine test  or for further blood tests for HIV or syphilis.  EWH---

update , I did the rectal swap for gonorrhea and chlamydia and hiv test all came back negative , so hiv and urine test at week (7,10,12,18,19) and rectal swab are all negative ,

1.) are these test conclusive (especially for hiv) ?
2.) is it true that hiv test is conclusive after 6 weeks ?
3.) if I am negative of all sti there is no way I can transmit it to another person say if me and my wife both negative and had unprotected sex with her sti can't be transmitted right ?

Thanks for the follow up.   This is good news and you can rest assured that you are in the clear now after the encounter that you have described.  Regarding your specific questions:
1.  Yes, the results are completely conclusive, for all STIs including HIV.
2.  Yes
3.  Absolutely correct..  You cannot infect your wife.

No need for further testing.

We typically provide three responses to each client’s questions.  As this is the 4th reply, it will be the final response and the thread will be closed shortly.   You are in the clear.  Please don’t worry.  EWH ---
