Lap dance that at some point penis came in contact with vagina.  How long I have no idea but dance lasted 3min.  No penetration.  4 days post exposure, burning skin on penis and a dark red rash.  No blisters no scabbing, pain last one to two days.  Rash gone after a week or so.  Went to dr as soon as I could (live in rural area).  3 weeks post tested negative igg for herpes 2 (have had herpes 1 since teenager). 7 weeks tested again Igg….negative.  Rash comes back periodically.  Tested Igg at 32 weeks negative .90 on scale.  .91 starts equivocal…..  shoed a PA and dermatologist pics and both said they didn’t think herpes.  With that plus my tests am I negative?  Rash comes every now and then but never blisters or scabbing.

I’m new to all this, wondering if my question did not go threw or if I have done something in error.

You did everything correctly.
First, the rash doesn't sound anything like HSV.  Then you have these negative IgG tests and the opinion of a PA a dermatologist that this isn't HSV
And your contact was extremely limited and unlikely to result in a herpes infection
Now you have my opinion that it isn't either.  I hope you can let this go now.

Thank you for your words.  Have been beating myself up now going on over a year.  Mainly the high number on my last IGG test was so close to equivocal it made my mind race yet again.  That high of an index value possible because I’m already positive with herpes 1?  Thank you again and this will be my last question

There could be some cross reactivity with your HSV 1, correct.

I guess I have one more question so I will use.  Thank you again and I am so sorry for such questions that to you all prolly seem irrational but for folks like me who have made a possible mistake after 26 year marriage of monogamy how very serious it seems to me..   so in spite of rash and symptoms you would still say no reason for further testing.  Thank you again.

I do understand that this is very frightening for you but your rash just doesn't sound like herpes to me.  If you are still worried about this, I would strongly suggest that you obtain a herpes western blot for greater clarity on your situation.
