Dear Doctor
I wish you all the best. I have got some advice from Dr. Hook, but I have some new questions about HIV2 based on my recent browsing on the Internet, and I hope you can help me to answer them
1: Does 58-day HIV Duo test rule out HIV2 100%? (Because I'm getting married soon and I don't want to hurt my wife)
2: Am I allowed to have unprotected sex with my wife?
3: Can I 100% completely forget this experience and go back to my normal life? (Because in recent months I have suffered from depression due to fear)

Welcome back, but I'm sorry you found it necessary. As you know, Dr. Hook and I share questions on HIV and most STDs and I'm taking this one. I reviewed your recent discussion with Dr. Hook.

My first advice is to be cautious about over-searching the internet about your concerns. Anxious persons tend to be drawn to information that raises their fears. If you continue to search the web about HIV exposure and testing, I suggest you limit yourself to professional sites, or at least those that are professionally moderated, like his one. Avoid sites primarily for and by infected persons and those at risk -- like Reddit, for example.
1. Yes: your negative results conclusively rule out HIV2 as well as HIV1.
2. There is no reason you cannot have unprotected sex with your wife.
3. Yes, you can "completely forget this experience and go back to [your] normal life!"
I hope these comments resolve your fears. Best wishes for your upcoming marriage.

First of all, thank you for your reply, which makes me feel relieved, but I have been suffering from some lingering symptoms
1- My left armpit has been swollen (from the 20th day to now) and there is no induration inside. It just feels like the flesh is swollen, and the right side is fine
2- From the 10th day, it was found that two elliptical sliding lymph nodes could be felt on both sides of the lower jaw, the size of which was about the same as peanuts
I am now afraid of these symptoms (I should have chronic pharyngitis for a long time smoking)

Responding to both questions: These symptoms do not suggest HIV or any STD, the only topics for this forum. And negative HIV test results overrule any and all symptoms: no matter how typical for HIV/ARS symptoms may seem, or despite whatever symptoms of illnesses of any kind you might have in the future, your test results prove HIV is not a possible cause (until and unless you have a new exposure that infects you).

You do not have HIV. Believe it, accept the truth, and move on with your life.
