[Question #1043] Herpes question

Thank you very much for your help
Month ago: Sex with a girl in which the condom was pushed in and we did not notice. It was a casual encounter at a music festival.
First couple weeks: Some itchy feelings. Nothing visual.
Almost the end of second week: Three small bump/pimples/blisters on my penis shaft. Not a cauliflower but close.
Doctor said it is “epidermoid cyst” and harmless. Urine test came negative for bacteries. Almost off the hook.
One month (two weeks from their appearance): They grew to twice the size they been (about a pin head now, 1x2mm). Sometime itchy feelings from various parts of genitals and I am totally aware of them.
They are filled with fat or could be cloudy water. They are not red and nor their base is red and not painful. They are not quite on top surface of the skin (as pictures of herpes blisters online) unless erection or stretched.
1-Are those herpes? Any other explanation?
2-They have not turned into sores yet, how long I should wait till I am sure that they are definitely not herpes? Would herpes definitely turn into sores?
3-What should I do?

I would ask that you look up Molluscum Contagiosum and see if that might be what it is. Do they have a little dimple in the middle if you look very very closely? Can you squeeze out some sort of cheesy stuff? They don't wound like herpes to me. Also, did anyone suggest they could be genital warts? I've not ever seen an epidermoid cyst on the shaft of the penis - plenty on the scrotum, though.

Hi Ms.Warren,
No they do not have anything in center. : (
Would you please comment on the timing of these. they been like this for about 2 weeks now. would that mean they are not herpes ?
I read here and there that herpes lesions would break in 2 to 6 days. Is that always true?
Can they come and go without even opening up into a sores ?
How much I should weight to rule out herpes ?
Should I take antivirals ?
Thanks

Most people who are going to have herpes lesions with a first infection will do so within 2-10 days. Are they coming and going or coming and staying? Things that stay for two weeks without changing from blisters to ulcers to scabs are really unlikely to herpes but clearly I can't say for sure. You might want to try squeezing it and seeing if you can get a hard white core out of one. Another option is genital warts since you are making the analogy to a cauliflower. There should be good pictures of both all over the internet - did you try looking them up?

Thanks Ms. Warren.
The came and they have stayed so far.
My analogy was that they are not like cauliflowers. they form a small triangle each ~7mm apart.
However, I can confidently say that I went all through internet for all of those things including herpes and warts and these do not look like any of them. I really hope that is a good thing.
Last time doctor said that there is no need for culture test. I am planning to visit him again, do you think it make sense if I squeeze it there and ask for a culture of the what it contains ?

Hmmmm. I don't know what it could be then if not the things I've mentioned. You might consider seeing a dermatologist then. If you can squeeze out a hard cheesy substance, it is likely molluscum.
