[Question #10512] Test hiv ans hep b

Hello, I have two specific questions:
Can a hepatitis B vaccination carried out after a risky relationship (1 week later then 4 weeks later) distort the result of an ( negative ) HIV test at 6 weeks?
what is the value of a negative hepatitis b test at 6 weeks from the risk report? I read 3 months... is it really 12 weeks?
Thanks a lot

I was able to retrieve your question even though it is not readable.

In response:
1. Yes, hepatitis B vaccination following a risk contact of the sort you described in your earlier posts is safe and effective for prevention of future infections. It's impact on risk for infection from a contact before vaccination is less. Please remember that I have already told you that the exposure you describe DID NOT put you at risk for HBV.
2. HBV WILL NOT distort the accuracy of HIV testing.
3. A negative HBV test at 6 weeks is very strong evidence that you were not infected but it is not 100% On the other hand, results at 12 weeks are conclusive.
I note that this is your 3rd question you have asked in the past 3 weeks. You have acknowledged that you are concerned an anxious. I have tried to alleviate those concerns. Your repeated questions however suggest that you may be looking for information on the internet. If so, I urge you not to do that. Much of what you will find there is incorrect, either because it is out of date, taken out of context or just plain wrong. It also appears that you are having trouble moving forward. I suggest that you seek counseling from a professional to help you move forward in terms of your apparent guilt and anxiety. I say this out of concern for you nothing more. EWH

Thanks , I am going to work with a psychotherapist you are right
To ending this question : it was about hbv vaccine to distord the test … you seems to answer about only hbv …
Is it the same :? hbv VACCINE before the hiv test can not distord this one ?
I promise this is my last question
Thank you

The hepatitis B vaccine will have no impact whatsoever on the accuracy of testing for HIV. EWH ---
