Hello there i have a few concerns
I was vaccinated as a child before ever having sex but only received one dose never completed them. My wife also received them in her childhood before having sex she received 3 doses. Now i am worried beacause i know cervarix only covered 2 strains and does not cover Warts. We are unsure if she received Gardisil or Cervarix she received them back in 2010 i believe here in the US.
Im assuming me as a male i received Gardasil 4 in 2013. Would one dose protect me from cancer and warts ? I have had nemerous of sex partners and im scared i might of infected my Wife with High risk HPV or warts. She gets pap smear done so far never had any issues.
Also i never had oral gonorhea atleast i dont think so what are chances if i had it i can pass it to her genital from my mouth ? Or by kissing ? How long does oral gonorhea clear on its own?

Welcome to our Forum. Thanks for your questions. I'll try to provide the information you are seeking.
The risk for HPV is certainly reduced by a single injection of the HPV vaccine but the protective effect is greater and lasts longer for persons who have had at least two and preferably three injections. As long as your partner continues to get regular GYN check ups as recommended by her doctors, I would not worry further about HPV.
As far as oral gonorrhea is concerned, I'm not sure why you are concerned about oral gonorrhea. As a generalization however, oral gonorrhea is rather uncommon and is poorly transmitted by oral sex and very, very rarely transmitted by deep, open mouth kissing.
I hope that this information is helpful. If I've missed something or not answered your questions, you may use your up to two follow-ups for clarification. EWH

Okay so why does the American Sexual Health Association have links to trials stating single dose of HPV vaccine is just as effective as two or three doses ? Also do you think my wife received Gardisil 4 in 2010 or was cervarix mostly used in that time? Her shot record shows 3 doses which makes me believe it was cervarix since Gardisil was 2 doses if take before 12 years of age.
I had a exposure 4 months ago sex worker protected sex but i gave her oral cunnilingus. 3 days later i developed sores in the back of my throat multiple ulcers that looked like herpangina i did not have any sore on my lips or gums. I never though much of it so never got tested but now my anxiety tells me that it may have been oral gonorrhea or HSV-2 orally. I tested about 4 month later swab oral and it was negative. My problem is what if it was oral gonorrhea and my immune system cleared it but passed it to my wife before i cleared by kissing her or giving ger cunnimingus . My urine sample was also negative 2 different time urine and oral swab.

As there has been more experience and more studies of the protective effect of HPV vaccine, it has become apparent that there is a high degree of protection established by a single HPV vaccination however that protection does not appear to be as long lived as the protection resulting from two or three injections which appear to offer virtually life-long protection. I hesitate to guess whether your wife received Cervarix or Gardasil.
As Dr. Handsfield explained to you just five days ago, the likelihood that you acquired oral gonorrhea from your earlier exposure is miniscule, as is the chance that you would have transmitted it. At this point you have only two realistic choices- accept that there is no evidence that you acquired oral gonorrhea and transmitted it or tell your wife of your misstep and encourage her to get tested at both her genital and oral sites. If you choose the latter path, I am confident that her tests will show that she was not infected.

Okay so do you think my symptoms of my throat where caused by HSV-2?
Also id like to add is it true if i had a negative TPPA that concludes i have never had a syphillis infection? Or is it possible for TPPA to show non reactive as false results or if i have taken other antibiotics for other non sexual infections ?

No. HSV-2 of the oral cavity is vanishingly rare and typical is associated with oral, cold-sore type lesions.
Yes, a negative TPPA proves that you have never had syphilis. Your prior antibiotics do no change this assessment/
This is my 3rd and final response as part of this thread. Your concerns about STIs from the encounter you described are excessive and unwarranted. You have know received similar assessments from both Dr. Handsfield and I. There should be no need for further questions. Additional repetitive and/or anxiety-driven questions may be deleted without a response and without return of your posting fee. Please try to move forward. EWH
