I had couple of massages which involved handjob  previous two months.total 3 encounters .The last session was involved with massage lady from Thailand and  had a bit of oral,I suppose, since there was no explicit Oral sex with the lady but when I was about to come I placed my penis at her mouth,no sucking involved,to ejaculate. I made an unfortunate decision next day to have unprotected sex with my wife. After two weeks she started having high fever, sore throat, shivering, and dry cough with body pain.I am worried if I have contracted Hiv .Please advice.

Welcome to our forum. Thanks for your questions.

None of the encounters you describe but you at any risk whatsoever for acquisition of HIV. It is not clear to me post penis was inside of your partner’s mouth or not. If it was not, there is no risk for any STI at all. Receipt of masturbation (hand jobs)is a no risk activity in terms of STI risk including risk for HIV. No person has ever been proven to have acquired HIV from receiving oral sex. I see no reason for concern that you have HIV nor that you could’ve transmitted anything to your wife. I suspect her current illness is purely coincidental.

I hope this information is helpful. If there are additional questions, please don’t hesitate to use your update to follow ups for clarification. EWH.

Hi Doctor, what I meant to explain is that in the last encounter, only at the time of ejaculation,I had proceeded to cum in her mouth. There was no sucking involved. She had stimulated me ,i.e handjob prior to the ejaculation .During that time her lips had touched my penis tip but there was no saliva involved.i am not sure if she had a sore at lips.

When my wife was taken to hospital, the doctor diagnosed her illness as acute respiratory infection after inspecting her blood. She started getting symptoms at 15 day after my exposure.i am worried if I have transferred anything to her.

Thank you for the clarification.  The additional information makes me even more confident that this was a no risk event and that you did not acquire any infections in this encounter that you transmitted to your wife.  I hope she will be feeling better soon EWH---
