[Question #10645] Std testing

Doc hook or dr HH - I have been trying incredibly hard with my ocd - but whenever I go to any doctor my irrational fear of stds always happens later. Today I had my annual sarcoidosis exam and while my lungs were fine my EKG showed an abnormal reading - it showed I had right bundle branch blockage. Would a heart condition such as RBBB right bundle branch block impact the accuracy of hep b, hiv or syphilis tests or because it's a heart condition it wouldn't impact std tests - also I couldn’t get tested for hep c last week doing it next week - I know I don’t have hep c - but could hep c cause RBBB in the heart or is this most likely heart disease or sarcoidosis and in no way related to an std and this condition could not impact hep b, Syphilis or hiv screening tests. Sorry to bother you again - but clearly I am still having ocd issues - any answer would be of great relief to me - thank you in advance and sorry for being a pain.

For reasons I cannot answer to, I have chosen to provide a single answer. You already know that your concerns reflect your OCD an nothing more. A RBBB would have no impact on the accuracy of testing for HIV, hepatitis C (not an STD) or other STDS. Nor is there a conceivable way in which a RBBB could be caused by HIV, hepatitis C or other STIs.
