[Question #10684] HPV risk from handjob
|
Hello I have been reading the forums that handjob is zero risk for any sti, with or without an condom. Since CDC states that HPV is the most common sti, is the HPV also zero risk? Can I assume that? I had a condom protected handjob performed on me. No gential fluids exchanged. So i am wondering if I am safe? Can I pass anything onto my significant partner of many years. She is due for her pap soon.

Receipt of masturbation does not put your partner at risk for any STI, including HPV. I would not worry. EWH---

Thank you. So zero risk to me and zero risk to my partner?

Sorry for clarification masturbation was performed on me. So zero risk to me and thus zero risk of passing anything onto my partner. Thanks

Please be patient. The site is not monitored 24/7 and you were fortunate to receive a reply soon after you posted your questions. 3 follow-ups in 9 minutes is excessive. Often it takes several hours for us to get to questions.
I understood that you received masturbation. Both giving and receiving masturbation are no risk events for acquistion of STIs. There are no specific studies of persons transmitting HPV, in part because the infection is so common. Most sexually active adults( over 80%) will have one or more HPV infections within a few years of stating sexual activity, even if they are monogamous. There is no known risk from performing or receipt of masturbation.
The best and most effective way to prevent HPV is to get the vaccine .
You have one follow-up remaining. EWH

Thank you. Sorry for my impatience. So from your experience, my encounter was zero risk to me and thus zero risk to my partner?. My partner of significant years, she is 59, is too old now for the vaccine. Pap would have no implications for me or hers fidelity?
Thank you again

Thanks for the additional information. You are correct, I would see no risk to you, and even less to your partner if that's possible, from the encounter you describe.
Should a PAP be abnormal, it would have NO/zero implications regarding your fidelity.
This completes this thread. EWH

I'm sorry my reply confused you. Let me re-state.
There is no known risk to your from receipt of masturbation from another person. Because you are at no risk, your partner is also at no risk. There is nothing for you to worry about. EWH
