[Question #1080] Other STDs via oral sex/brief kissing

This will be my last thread associated with the event I had ten days ago . I went to a strip club and and a dancer performed oral briefly on me for 5-10 seconds. There was also brief kissing . I was thinking I was pretty low risk , but two days ago I noticed a red discoloration on the back of my mouth . It's painless and no other symptoms have accompanied it such as swollen glands fever or sore throat . I'm wondering if I may have caught oral chlamodia , syphllis or gonnarea , either from the oral or the brief kissing.

Or perhaps chlamydia gonnarea or syphllis and it's showing through this symptom

Don, I am not sure why you persist in thinking that your sore throat is an STI. You received oral sex. Receipt of oral sex is low risk for acquisition of STIs and no risk for HIV. STIs are not spread by by kissing. Finally, if you had acquired an STI, it would not spread from you penis to your throat. You need to accept that you did not get an STI of any sort from the exposure you described and move on. Testing will not help this. EWH---

Im sorry dr. I'm not trying to be unreasonable as I truly respect you. I'm honestly trying to cover my bases and I'm just a little concerned with this red discoloration in back of my mouth. I'm not sure if that's a symptom of any STIs . It's been there for over 2 days . I truly apologize for acting like this.

A red spot in the back of your mind would not be a sign of STI acquired during the encounter you described, EWH---

Just to clarify for myself ( being adhd /anxiety prone); based on my exposure , which was brief kissing and brief oral (5-10 secs), I'm most likely risk free or low risk to STIs. And a the red discoloration which resembles a stretched out blot isn't a symptom of an STI(for example; chpamydia , gonnarea or syphllis), I apologize once again. I just want to cover all my bases. I also know this upcoming answer will most likely be the last one to close out. Thank you very much .

Isn't the red discoloration looking like an ink blot in back of mouth a possible symptom of either chlamydia gonnarea or syphllis ? If not, I guess I was mistaken

Correct, this was a very low risk event. And the discoloration you describe is not at all suggestive of any STI, as well as it being implausible that it might be. Time to set your anxiety aside and move forward without concern.
As this is my 3rd reply, by Forum policy, this thread will be closed later today and no further follow up questions will be addressed. Take care. EWH
