Hi hoping this gets sent to Dr Hansfield. I had run out of responses on the previous thread and just wanted to add some information based on your last response. You had said that if this was a herpes lesion which I think you and I are both in agreeance it’s not, that it would have to be a lesion or sore from a past hsv2 infection and that this wouldn’t be a result of new acquisition from the exposure I had described. I just wanted to add that over a year ago I had a scare where I was convinced I had hsv2 but never had any sores or lesions just other symptoms that concerned me but again never a sore or lesion ever. I tested a ridiculous amount of times all negative and to fully put myself at peace of mind I had done a western blot with Terri which was also negative. So I definitely do not have hsv2 and that would mean if this cut I have is heroes that it would have to be from the exposure discussed in the previous thread. So with all that being said, is it safe to assume that I do no have herpes and that the cut I am describing is that of trauma and nit a new herpes infection?

This is getting a bit ridiculous. First, you're asking me to confirm what I've already said a couple of times. I haven't changed my mind! Second, it is mind boggling that you withheld obviously important information -- i.e. not telling me about your previous herpes concerns and repeated test results recently. It's as if a patient with a headache didn't reveal he was hit in the head with a baseball bat just before the pain started.
It is 100% certain you do not have herpes. Do your best to move on without further worry.
End of discussion. And please note the forum policy against repeated anxiety driven questions on the same topic, which are subject to being deleted without reply and without refund of the posting fee. Thank you for understanding.

I apologize for the repetition. This whole situation has me extremely stressed out and I thought I had mentioned it in my previous thread but forgot that I had to take information out because the original post was too long. Again I appreciate your insight and patience and I apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks have a great weekend

No inconvenience of course -- just a bit frustrating when users seemingly don't believe our advice or need to hear the same information repeatedly. I hope it sticks this time! Best wishes for successful conception and stay safe.---
