[Question #10835] HIV concern

Hi , I need advise on recent exposure 4 months before. This was only the exposure I ever had. I received a massage from lady therapist for 20 minutes followed by handjob. She was fully clothed only top open. No sex of any kind. She kissed my chest for 2 seconds.
I am worried about hiv infection from this exposure and serious anxiety
Please help resolve my anxiety.

Do I need testing for this exposure. Your expert advise will help me to lead a normal life. . Is there any scenario that could infect me from hiv from this exposure. I didn’t see any blood on her hands and hygiene was ok.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your confidence in our services.

HIV is not transmitted by hand-genital contact or by kissing, especially by mouth contact with skin on the body. This was zero risk: there is no possibility you caught HIV. (And it wouldn't matter if there were "blood on her hands" or if she had bad hygiene!)
Don't worry at all about this. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thanks Doctor for the assessment and assurance. I have one concern, I was not getting hard, so she rubbed the penis with palm for few seconds and touched anus with fingers superficially . That’s all.. I was lying on the table and she was standing down doing massage using oil. just like the massage room arrangement.
Will it make any difference. ?
I am married and resumed with my wife. But with protection. But we always start without protection in the beginning for 5 seconds and then put on the protection as a part of family planning. One day my wife got swollen lymph in front of the ear , fever for 2 /3 days aprox 100 to 101 f and ear looked like big red boxers ear. Doctors prescribed antibiotics and now after 5 days she is normal. This frightened me and took back to anxiety.
Could this be due to infection, that I could have passed on to her. This was the only exposure I had in my life and really ashamed of that.
Please , analyse and tell me should I worry for this exposure.

Just one more thing. I didn’t had any fever or sore throat after the exposure. It’s about more than 4 months now. I am working individual and no fatigue or night swets.

Sorry to add again, I had made relationships with my wife only 4 times after the exposure. In last 4 months. It was brief unprotected- 5 seconds and then protected till end

The additional information does not change my assessment or advice. Your wife's symptoms do not suggest HIV or any STD.
For additional reassurance, you could consider being tested for HIV. Since the massage event was 4 months ago, a negative HIV test at this time will prove you were not infected. This does NOT mean I believe there is any possibility you have HIV; I do not. I suggest it only because many anxious persons are more reassured by negative test result than by professional evaluation and advice, no matter how expert. (We don't take it personally!)
Each question includes opportunities for two follow-up comments. If you decide to get tested, I suggest no further comments until and unless you want to let me know the test result.

Thanks doctor for the reassurance. I trust your evaluation and move forward in life without any worries. I have gained much knowledge from your expert advise over the years. I knew this was zero risk but still I couldn’t stop my self.
God bless you for your service helping people in distress and showing them path.
Thanks again
