I had the last question but the conversation was closed already
You told me the saliva with no mouth contact is not a risk
But is it zero risk?
And what is making the hpv transmission possible through the saliva ? If I don’t have any sores or open wounds is it possible?
And is the viral load on tge saliva part of the process?
Thank you dr I’m trying to learn a lot from you

On this occasion, I will be answering your question rather than Dr. Handsfield. In preparing to reply, I reviewed his earlier replies to your questions and agree with all that he said. Your previous questions were closed because you had received three replies. We provide up to three replies to each client’s questions. We also discourage repetitive questions. Both your second question and this question are largely repetitive. If you would like to learn more about HPV I suggest that you visit the Website run by the American Sexual Health Association, the sponsors of this Forum.

As I mentioned above, repetitive questions are strongly discouraged and person who return to this our forum with repeated questions on the same topic risk having their questions not answered. This must be your final set of questions. Future repetitive questions about no risk situations maybe closed without a response and without return of your posting fee.

HPV  is not transmitted in saliva. Direct contact with the site of infection is required for transmission of HPV. Even then, certain parts of the body are more susceptible to HPV transmission than others. HPV transmission to and from the mouth is uncommon and occurs only through direct oral sex.  The variables which impact HPV transmission other than repeated contacts and vaccination status for the exposed person are not well described.

As I said above, if you wish to learn more, you should go to the American Sexual Health Association website. You should not need to ask further questions on this forum.  EWH.

HPV is not transmitted through open wounds.   Risk is zero.

You have 1 followup remaining, after which the thread will be closed and NO FURTHER questions will be accepted.  EWH

My question if I have an open wound or sores inside of my mouth then is it possible to get hpv via saliva ? That’s what I mean
And I’m sorry I didn’t understand
Is the risk still zero from getting the oral hpv from the saliva?
And after 6 to 8 months if I don’t have any symptoms then is it most likely I don’t have any oral hpv ?
Thank you

This is a repetitive question which Dr. Handsfield and I have both answered.  An open woulnd in your mouth does NOT change your risk for acquisition of HPV.  HPV IS NOT TRANMITTED IN SALIVA!!!!

Zero risk.

As explained on the website I have tried to get you to look at, HPV is typically asymptomatic.  There are no recommended tests for asymptomatic oral HPV.  If you were going to acquire oral warts, they would typically have appeared by the time 6-8 months passed.

End of the thread.  Please do not reply.  Further questions will be closed without a reply and without return of your posting fee.  EWH
