I’m a gay in ASIAN country which high presence of HIV.

I hv met a guy from internet (not sure about his HIV status.)

What we do is
  • Mutual Masturbation, he use his hand to help me masturbate (his hand on my penis and move up and down.
  • Body to Body frottage, he is on top of me and slide his body.
  • NO Penetrate (since I very worried about HIV) NO Oral Sex.

My question is

1) During mutual masturbation, suppose his hand which have some of his pre-cum  touch the tip of my penis and may be my urethra… does this expose is risk to HIV ?
I’m worry most about this (his pre-cum touch tip of my penis via his hand)

2) Have anyone have got HIV with these situation.

3) Dose it’s the same risk as my penis insert to his anus (Tip of penis touch the secretion in his anis).

4)from all exposure I have, Do I have risk to HIV ? Do I need for testing ?

Welcome to our Forum.  Thanks for your questions.  Congratulations on your commitment to safe sex- it will do much to keep you healthy and safe.  The activities you describe including frottage and mutual masturbation without penetration are safe sexual practices with NO risk for acquistion of HIV.  This is true even if your partner's genital secretions get on you.  Entrance of genital secretions into the urethra to cause infection in the manner you describe does not happen.  Thus, in response to your specific questions:

1) During mutual masturbation, suppose his hand which have some of his pre-cum  touch the tip of my penis and may be my urethra… does this expose is risk to HIV ?
I’m worry most about this (his pre-cum touch tip of my penis via his hand)
As described above, this is not a risk.

2) Have anyone have got HIV with these situation.
Neither of us on this forum has ever heard or seen of acquisition of HIV in this way.  There is general agreement among experts, including the CDC and WHO that the activities you describe are no risk events.

3) Dose it’s the same risk as my penis insert to his anus (Tip of penis touch the secretion in his anis).
Same answer.  No penetration, no risk

4)from all exposure I have, Do I have risk to HIV ? Do I need for testing ?
I see no medical or scientific reason for testing related to the activities you describe above.

I hope this information is helpful.  Going forward I would add one more suggestion- consider asking future partners about their HIV status and when they were last tested.  Most people tell the truth and I suspect it will be a reassuring practice since even in countries where HIV is common, most people do not have HIV.

OK Thanks you Dr.Hook

1) So Even My partner's Semen touch my urethra/tips of penis, I'm fine and still NO RISK of HIV.
and you also never heard or seen Hiv acquisition by this way before?

2) So If it safe, then I can meet someone else and do this activity without condom (Mutual masturbation with semen may touch the tip of my penis) as often as I want with NO HIV RISK right ?

3) Suppose I don't have any penetration, Can I say that it's NO RISK for HIV ?

4) Do I have to use condom for this kind of activity (Mutual masturbation)?

5) I have asked my partner's HIV status, he said "negative" which we cannot sure on that but I will take you advice to ask every time.

1.  Correct. I have never seen or heard of someone becoming infected in this way.
2.  Correct, if your activity is mutual masturbation, and Fourage, a condom is not needed.
3.  No penetration, no risk.
4. This is a repetitive question. Repeating the questions will not change the answer.
5. Congratulations. I’m glad you ask your partner. Most people tell the truth and it all allows for the conversation to occur. When you ask, it is also helpful to ask when the person last tested.

Take care, EWH

OK Thank you, Dr.Hook. I appreciate your reply :)

This will be my last reply.

1) if all my exposure is only like this  (Mutual masturbation with semen may touch the tip of my penis),
Does it not matter what status he has? Suppose My partner is lying or doesn't know their status.
I still have NO risk right? but we ask only for the peace of mind.

2) even without a condom, For receiving oral Sex (his mouth on my penis) is still no risk for HIV right?
only a few reports of hiv are acquired via giving (my mouth on his penis).

Best regards

You are correct. This will be my last response. I must say, I’m a bit surprised that you are asking these repetitive questions.

1.  Safe sex is safe sex. By definition that means that no matter whether your partner is infected or not, there is no risk to you.

2.  Another repetitive question. With or without use of a condom, there has never been a case in which a person has acquired HIV from receipt of unprotected oral sex. You are not going to be the first.

I understand that you are anxious about this encounter. Non- nonetheless. I strongly encourage you to put your anxiety in fear aside and move forward without concern. This ends thread. EWH.
