Hello and thank you for your input and advice in advance. I asked a question regarding someone fingering my wife and he was jerking off about his Precum interning her vagina and and HIV infection. I was told that you can’t get HiV from this. My question is I tested positive for the flu last week and Covid a few weeks back. Would these rapid tests confuse HIV from the Covid or the flu? My wife was sick also but didn’t get tested. I had a fever of 102.3, body aches, chilling, and very tired. Our oldest came down with a high fever and tested positive for the flu A also a few days later but he used my razor. So my question is are you able to say we don’t have HIV?

Thank you.

Welcome back to the Forum although I'm sorry you felt the need.  I reviewed your recent interaction with Dr. Handsfield before replying and agree with all that he said- the events you describe were no risk for STIs, including HIV.  I really don't see any need for testing.  That being the case, there is also no reason to worry that your recent COVID and influenza infections might have a negative influence on tests for HIV.  They do not.

Be confident that you do not have HIV.  Your encounter was a no risk event and your recent COVID and influenza would not have any impact on tests for STIs, including HIV.  The symptoms you describe are classic for both flu and COVID.  Please don't worry.  EWH
