[Question #10947] Hep b test an vaccine

Hello doctor and thank you for all you valuable advices.
Here is my question : following the risk taken , I had a hepatitis B vaccination one week after the risk ( first dose ) then a second dose one month after the risk.
I then performed 2 test :
- the first at 12 weeks of risk
- the second at 100 days
Both negative for ABsGA and showing that the vaccine had work ( anti HBS >100).
Could the 2 dose of vaccine have influenced my negative result ( in term of deadline )
Does the vaccination have an impact on the test result , does it postpone the window period ? ( like PEP for HIV ) ?
Can I consider myself now secure with these two test on possible hep b infection ?
Thank so much

I'm sorry to see you back with further evidence of irrational obsession with the possibility of a hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection from the zero-risk exposure several months ago.
---
You did not even need testing for HBV, but your negative test results prove you were not infected, and your post-vaccine testing show you now are immune. And no, vaccination does not have any effect on the reliability of your negative test results. (The analogy with PEP for HIV is wrong; the biology of PEP and vaccination are entirely different from each other.)
"Can I consider myself now secure with these two test on possible hep b infection?" Yes. You were never at risk and you are now immune to HBV.
That concludes this thread. Repetitive anxiety driven questions are not permitted and there will be no discussion and this must be your last forum question on these topics. Further similar questions will receive no reply and the posting fee will not be refunded. This policy is based on compassion, not criticism, and is intended to reduce temptation to repeatedly pay for questions with obvious answers. In addition, experience shows that continued answers tend to prolong users' anxieties rather than reducing them. Finally, such questions have little educational value for other users, one of the forum's main purposes. Thank you for your understanding.
