[Question #10951] Follow up question to Question #10904

Sorry to have a follow-up question. While following Dr. H's advice to wait two week to proceed with sex, I was vigorously checking my penis for Skin to Skins STIs. I saw no sign of herpes or syphilis.
After 16 days, I noticed a small red dot, maybe a pimple near my lower nut left sack close to my anus. How likely is this to be skin to skin STI? Sorry I am asking but I am deathly afraid to pass something to my partner. Is this likely a pimple because of the area of the exposure? I was waiting 14 days to get with my partner again, but we have not had the chance to do anything as this person has COVID-19. Do you guys feel I am in the clear to proceed?

Welcome back to our forum. On this occasion, I will be replying. As I suspect you know, Dr. Handsfield and I have shared the forum for many years and while our verbal styles may vary, we never differ in the facts of our responses. I reviewed your interaction with Dr. Handsfield about a little over a week ago and agree with all he said. The exposures you described were very, very low risk.
The red spot you describe sounds nothing like an STI. It does however suggest that your anxiety is leading you to over examine yourself and, as a result, are detecting normal variations in your skin. Please try not to worry.
I see no reason to abstain from unprotected sex with your regular partner. EWH

I would not be worried that the spot you found was an STI. EWH---

What I meant was because I have no STI symptoms, you think it is safe to proceed unprotected?
