[Question #11004] Syphilis anxiety follow up

Hello- thank you for all of your help and guidance. To follow up- I am still ridden with anxiety/worry about syphilis after my oral sex exposure on December 10th. I have taken 2 separate 1 weeks worth of antibiotics (doxy) and am very concerned that I could have delayed seroconversion.

Please see my timeline below with my tests:

-December 10th: exposure

-December 18th (8 days): started 1 week of doxycycline

-January 8th (29 days) negative RPR

-January 17th (38 days) started 1 week of doxy

January 29th (50 days) negative RPR

-February 13th: (65 days) negative RRR

February 22nd: (74 days) negative EIA

I still am very anxious/concerned that the antibiotics could be delaying my time to positive test.

Have you seen someone have a delay of seroconversion to almost 3 months or beyond due to antibiotics?

Does the EIA test provide any more reassurance at 74 days?

Should I do any more testing or seek counseling?

Is it possible I could still develop a chancre due to conservative 90 day incubation period? Thanks!

This is a repetitive question. As I said before "I have already told you that your tests prove that you do not have syphilis. There is no reason to worry about the antibiotics you took."

For you to keep asking these questions is not going to change the answer. There is NO scientific or medical possibility that you have syphilis. Your concerns are unwarranted. Your test results showing that you do not have syphilis are not going to change because you do not have syphilis and are not at risk for syphilis from your exposure of concern. I urge you to stay off of the internet and seek counseling to address your fears and guilt.
