[Question #11040] Red Itchy Burning Groin

Evening,
Depressingly this is the third time I have returned to the site over the last 5 years for the third event of this kind but both previous experiences have been incredibly helpful and reassuring!

5 days ago I was on a stag/bachelors in Bucharest, România. 2 nights in a row we got extremely drunk and I remember little of either, other than initially getting drunk before us travelling to the red light district with strippers/brothels/massage parlours. I know from the others that we enter strippers but I have no idea what happened other than I spend a considerable amount of money both times and we all returned home at different times hours later. On one night I returned with my t-shirt on backwards.

3rd/4th day I was incredibly clammy and had some sensitivity/redness on my penis.
This subsided but I now have incredibly itchy/burning in the folds of my groin, and a red rash on both sides with a couple of small red dots. There is a patch of redness on my scrotum and I have had diarrhea and a little tenderness in my lower stomach but they may not be related.

Do you believe this could be symptoms of an STI/STD of some kind?

Welcome back to the Forum.  It appears that you have a habit of drinking to excess and then wondering about your behavior. I’ll provide a comment below but I suggest you reflect on your behaviors going forward.

You do not know that you were sexually exposed during the episodes you describe.  Even if you were, it is statistically unlikely that your partner was infected or, if they were, that you were infected. The symptoms you describe are not suggestive of an STI. it is too early for your symptoms to be due to STIs such as syphilis, HIV, or syphilis.

You may wish to get tested for the most common STIs such as Gonorrhea or chlamydia for the purpose of reassurance.  I anticipate however that the tests will be negative.  Other STIs are not a realistic concern.  EWH
