[Question #11103] About hiv tests

I had 2 risky contacts. After the first contact, I used Pep medicines for only 3 days. I had a hiv cmia test after 55, 87, 105 and 180 days. During the 180-day test, I saw a drop of blood in the vacutainer holder. I had a CMIA HIV test done on days 58 and 82 after seeing blood. After 105 days, I had another HIV test. But this test may be the 3rd or 4th generation. During these 105 days of testing, I also had hepatitis B and hepatitis C antibodies tested. All my tests are negative and I have Hashimoto's disease. I am married and I have a child. Do I need additional testing? As a result of cmia tests, it says hiv1&2 combo.

You probably have seen that most of your question didn't upload. Please add the information in the follow-up window. If that doesn't work and you need to post a new question entirely, the forum will reimburse your credit card for one of them.

Actually all of them seen. I had protected sex and then I used Pep medicines for only 3 days. I had a hiv cmia test after protected sex 55, 87, 105 and 180 days. During the 180-day test, I saw a drop of blood in the vacutainer holder. I had a CMIA HIV test done on days 58 and 82 after seeing blood. And After 105 days, I had another HIV test seeing blood but this test may be the 3rd or 4th generation. During these 105 days of testing, I also had hepatitis B and hepatitis C antibodies tested. All my tests are negative and I have Hashimoto's disease. I am married and I have a child. As a result of cmia tests, it says hiv1&2 combo. Do I need additional testing?

OK, thanks. You might have attempted to upload text from another program that for some reasons did not display most of the information. All I can see in your initial post is "I had 2 risky contacts. After the fir" -- nothing more.
The more detailed information doesn't say anything about the nature of your sexual contact(s). Male or female? Sex worker? Other information that may indicate risk for HIV or STD?
However, it is 100% certain you do not have HIV: the tests you had are 100% reliable. So are your hepatitis B and C test results. There are no medical conditions, including Hashimoto's thyroiditis, that alter the timing or reliability of any of the tests you had. You do not need any more testing for HIV.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

I was worried about HIV and Hepatits. I am male and i had protected vaginal sex with female sex worker. As you mentioned i do not need to have hiv and hepatits tests. The results are absolutely correct. Am i true ? Thank you much

Yes, your test results "are absolutely correct"; they prove you were not infected with either HIV or viral hepatitis. ---

Last question dear, after seeing blood inside the vacutainer plastic holder after 58 and 82 days hiv cmia and 105 days hiv antibody and 105 days hepatit b and hepatit c test accurate ? Beacause i think it may be infected from the blood inside the plastic holder. Am i free hiv and viral hepatits ?

A previous person's blood inside a vacutainer holder cannot contaminate your blood entering the specimen tube. And if somehow someone else's blood were mixed with yours, the only possible problem would be to make your test falsely positive. Your negative test results are valid and correct. You do not have any of the infections for which you were tested. Believe it!
That concludes this thread. I hope the discussion was helpful.
