[Question #11126] Messed up my whole life

Hi sir,
I read so much on internet and now i am damn scared.
I read a lot about HIV sero delays and all like for example HCV can delay HIV antibody production and all.
Exposure is with African before 100 days, unprotected vaginal, later i dont know if while testing testing phlebo intentionally injected me during testing with HIV-1 or HIV-2 or HCV blood to delay seroconversion.
Its been 45 days since my last blood test.
1) If I do RNA PCR test for both HIV-1 and HIV-2 on 45th day, and its negative, can I put all the anxiousness that happened before like my initial e xposure with african before 100 days, along with my doubt with needle before 45 days (suppose needle with HIV1 or HIV2 or HCV to delay my antibody production is injected.)
2.Will my RNA pcr close the delay sero conversion and production of antibodies if i have undetected HCV as of now but actually have it?
Final question is will my 45th day RNA pcr conclude HIV for sure , as it is not depending on antibodies delayed because of HCV even thought i dont have detectable amount as of now.
(I will do 4th gen for sure along with this)
My 90 day 4th gen is negative already along with HCV antibody negative ,but I am doubtful may be HCV is not decetable yet as phlebo mught have injected on day 60 and it is causing serodelay of may be HIV-2 as exposure is with african individual CSW.
Final question is , if i do rna pcr on day 45 , will it close all the questions of serodelays as well?

Currently i dont have HCV, but if i had , will rna pcr for hiv-1 and hiv-2 and 4th gen on day 45 close all the drama? Or should i restest on 90?

Welcome back to the Forum although I am not sure why you have returned with these repetitive questions. It appears that you have not paid attention to Dr. Handsfield's replies to your earlier questions and that you have gone to the internet where you have been badly misled. Please understand, that much of what is found on the internet regarding HIV, hepatitis C and other blood borne infections is wrong. These errors are sometimes because statements are out of date, sometimes they have been taken out of context and sometimes they are simply incorrect and/or based on flawed science. One of the more common incorrect statements found on the internet is the idea of "delayed" seroconversion which is untrue and DOES NOT EXIST.
The events you have describes were assuredly NO RISK for acquistion of HIV, hepatitis C or other infections. Your tests have proven, without a doubt, that you do not have HIV-1 or HIV-2. Your follow-up PCR tests will again be negative, proving once again that you do not have HIV or any sort. In response to your repetitive questions:
1) If I do RNA PCR test for both HIV-1 and HIV-2 on 45th day, and its negative, can I put all the anxiousness that happened before like my initial e xposure with african before 100 days, along with my doubt with needle before 45 days (suppose needle with HIV1 or HIV2 or HCV to delay my antibody production is injected.)
If you test with RNA PCR tests for HIV-1 and HIV-2 the results will be negative, once again proving that you are not infected. You should put your anxiousness ond concerns aside.
2.Will my RNA pcr close the delay sero conversion and production of antibodies if i have undetected HCV as of now but actually have it?
The presence of hepatitis C, if you had it, would have NO effect on the accuracy of your test results. There is no need for further testing- NO NEED AT ALL!!!
I hope this information is helpful. Please do not worry. EWH

Hi sir,
1.So even if say i have HCV, it doesnt sero delay for both HIV-1 and HIV-2.
Does that mean 4th generation is conclusive for both HIV-1 and HIV-2 at 6 weeks (or is it 8 weeks because HIV-2 checks only antibody).
2.I am worried because i am doubtful on the person who used needle while taking out blood, even if he did inject both HCV along with HIV-2, does 6 (or) 8 week 4th gen concluisve for HIV-1 and HIV-2 for sure that HCV wont delay antibody thing?
I am going mad sir, i am almost crying everyday.
Initially i got negative 4th gen on day 90 aftwr initial african exposure. Now i am doubtful about the needle and sero delay because of HCV.Sure HCV wonr delay right sir?

These are all repetitive questions
1. Correct. 4th generation tests are conclusive for HIV-1 at 6 weeks and for HIV-2 at 8 weeks
2. s Dr. Handsfield has indicated, there have been no cases of ph3eblotomists infecting patients they drew blood from, intentionally or by accident for many years. As already said, the idea that hepatitis C might delay tests becoming positive is untrue.
You are worrying needlessly. Please remember, we provide up to 3 responses to each client's questions. You have 1 follow-up remaining. After that the thread will be closed. In addition, I must warn you that if you return with additional repetitive, anxiety driven questions, your question is likely to be closed without a response and without return of your posting fee. There is no benefit to you from asking the same questions again and again. You are worrying needlessly. EWH

Thank you for your answers sir,
1.When you say, "As already said, the idea that hepatitis C might delay tests becoming positive is untrue." , is it for 4th gen tests only for HIV-1 at 6 weeks and HIV-2 at 8 weeks (or) by tests did you mean RNA tests, coz i am worried i did only 4th gen after the needle exposure not RNA.
2.One last question out of this, if i did RNA pcr test post 25 days, is it conclusive for both HIV-1 and HIV-2?
Sorry for the questions just can't able to sleep.

more repetitive questions
1.When you say, "As already said, the idea that hepatitis C might delay tests becoming positive is untrue." , is it for 4th gen tests only for HIV-1 at 6 weeks and HIV-2 at 8 weeks (or) by tests did you mean RNA tests, coz i am worried i did only 4th gen after the needle exposure not RNA.
This statement is true for 4th generation tests forboth HIV-1 at 6 weeks and HIV-2 at 8 weeks AND for PCR RNA tests.
2.One last question out of this, if i did RNA pcr test post 25 days, is it conclusive for both HIV-1 and HIV-2?
The are RNA tests for HIV-1 and HIV-2. As Dr. Handsfield said, you should check with the lab to find out whether or not both viruses were tested for. Your RNA PCR tests for the viruses tested for will be entirely conclusive at 25 days.
This completes this thread. If you return with further questions about these concerns, you will not receive a response. You are worrying needlessly EWH
