Hello Doctor,
Continuation on my previous questions, i have done a full STD tests in Egypt and it all came backe -ve last week.
Today i had a regular checkup and the results were a bit alarming to me with low WBC 3.76 and low neutrophills count 1.55
My Previous cbc results:
March 2023 wbc 5.79 Neutrophills 3.6
Jan 2024 WbC 4.81 Neutrophills 2.44
April 2024 WbC 3.76 Neutrophills 1.55
My question is
1- my WbC and neutrophills keeps getting lower everytime i do CBC is this alarming ?
2- what could these lowering numbers mean ?
3- Could these lowering numbers be related to STDs ?
4- in Feb 2024 my girlfriend had a low neutrophills count of 1.22 and we have unprotected sex. Could there be a correlation of my low neutrophills and her low Neutrophills ?
Thanks

Welcome back to our Forum. I'm disappointed that you continue to worry about the encounters you have described months ago. My sense is that you are spending time on the internet looking for information regarding HIV risk and fluctuating WBC counts. This is a mistake. Much of what is found on the internet will mislead you because it is out of date, because you are misinterpreting what you read, because it is taken out of context, or it is just plain wrong. During out last interchange I said, "...CBC's are non-specific tests which sometimes provide clues to the possibility of infections. Your GF has a tendency towards mild anemia which is common among women. Her low neutrophil count is non-specific and common with any number of common community acquired viral infections. It is not particularly suggestive of HIV. Neutropenia in HIV is a late finding, occurring years after infection, not after just a few weeks. Further, your GF cannot have acquired HIV from you with negative tests."

Repeating your own CBC/WBC is not helpful either. As I said before, the WBC can fluctuate substantially on a day-to-day basis. If you want to better understand your fluctuating neutrophil counts, you should see a hematologist. I can assure you however that they are NOT due to HIV or any other STI that you acquired through sexual encounters that you have come to regret. In answer to your specific questions:
1- my WbC and neutrophills keeps getting lower everytime i do CBC is this alarming ?
No
2- what could these lowering numbers mean ?
See my response above. This is likely normal variation. If you wish for further evaluation, you should see a hematologist.
3- Could these lowering numbers be related to STDs ?
Absolutely not!!!
4- in Feb 2024 my girlfriend had a low neutrophills count of 1.22 and we have unprotected sex. Could there be a correlation of my low neutrophills and her low Neutrophills ?
No. See my comment about her counts above
