[Question #11244] Follow Up

Hello,
This is a follow up to my previous question. Dr. Handsfield was very helpful in answering my question, but I am having issues still and wanted to follow up. My encounter involved unprotected oral, heavy kissing, and protected insertive sex with a female CSW. I began experiencing burning urination 5 days after exposure. No visible sore on the exterior of my penis. No discharge. Tested at 7 days. Everything was negative. I’m still having issues with the burning urination 2 weeks later. Is it possible that it could be Herpes? I have read that sores could be inside the urethra and cause my symptoms. Thank you!

while it is possible, yes, herpes urethritis is quite remarkable for most men.  Acidic urine passing over open sores in the urethra would be VERY painful, and I seriously doubt that it would last for two week.  I am assuming that you've, at this point, been tested for everything?  One week will certainly pick up many things but I'm not clear that it would pick up all other STIs that could cause painful urination.  Is the pain accompanied by a discharge as well?  If yes, I think it would be worth following up at this point.
Have you ever had a cold sore on your lip or in your nose?  If the answer is yes, then you already have the type of herpes that you would get from receiving unprotected oral sex.
