Hey drs following my previous question I am worried on my sti/std status in regards to my last question with the saliva contact to my penis. I need clarification one of the STIs I’m worried about. Could of I contracted hsv1 or 2 from this encounter ( spit on penis for lubrication for handjob) I inspected me penis 7 days after the event and have a small painless blemish on on the underside of my knob. It’s the size of a quater of a grain of rice doesn’t hurt or anything I’m just unsure if it’s been there the whole time or only just appeared. I’m really starting to stress

There is possibly a very small risk, very small, from the saliva question, for HSV 1. However, something the size of a quarter of a grain of rice that is not painful sounds nothing like herpes to me. You could have it evaluated in person if you are still concerned about it - that's always the best way to know more clearly if a symptom is herpes or not.

So 2 days later I have carefully monitored it and it has not grown in size or caused any itching and pain. Sometimes I get mild thrush dependant on what body wash I have used but it isn’t really even a sore if that makes sense it’s a tiny little mark on my penis knob not a sore or anything. What is the chance of catching hsv1 from saliva if direct contact was not made with the persons mouth. I’m still reading conflicting information online I just want to be certain. Symptom wise it looks nothing like all the photos online or I’m not getting any symptoms of it at all.

I do not believe that what you are describing sounds anything like herpes. Obviously, I cannot address what you might have acquired at some other point in your life but I personally have never, in my 40 year career specializing in HSV, seen anyone acquire HSV from saliva used for a hand job. Never.

Okay Thankyou for your support in answering my question. One more before we close the thread is there any chance this could be a possible syphilis sore? Judging by the size and look of it does not resemble anything I can see online. I have started a course of doxycycline just to be cautious will this get rid of it before primary stage if it’s the case?

No, I don't think there is a chance that this is a syphilis sore either.
the dose and timing of the course of doxycycline as a potential treatment for syphilis would be determined by the provider who prescribed it.
