Follow-up to my Question 11275
I'm back after my last thread with You.
Even though You asked me not to do any more tests and my results are conclusive,
I wanted to be 100% sure and I went for a test last Thursday after 87 days of my 1st exposure to risk, and since I haven't had the result yet, I'm very afraid that the results will change between 74 days (10.4 weeks) and 87 days (12.4 weeks).
And I just want to know
1) is it possible for the results to change in the last 15 days, especially since the tests I had done were accurate (ANTICORPS)?
2) based on your years of experience, have you ever seen someone's results change in the last 2 weeks of the 3-month window period?

3) From what you've seen, do you think I'm totally 100% safe?
 Please, I really feel lost!

How unfortunate to see you back on the forum.  As I’ve already told you, you are previous test results are entirely conclusive, and repeating the tests will only give you the same result.  Your results are not going to change. The reason they are called CONCLUSIVE is because those are the final results and they will not change with repeat testing. Repeat testing was a waste of resources.  You did not acquire HIV from the exposure you described in your previous posts. EWH.---

Hello experts
I have a small question for you, and many people are confused by this information.
Why do some guidelines require testing at 84 days and others at 90 days? What's the difference?
And thank you for your efforts on this forum and the help you bring to everyone.

Guidelines vary, reflecting the confidence experts have in their recommendations and whether or not they are willing to be incorrect.  Consensus is however, that testing with a 4th generation, combination HIV antigen/antibody testing provides entirely conclusive test results.  FYI, neither of us has seen a patient with a negative 4th generation test at 4 weeks go on to develop positive tests.  EWH---

And for ANTICORPS tests (3rd generation) only? Have you ever seen someone's results change after how long?
For your information, I would just like to inform you that my last test of 87 days was negative, so I won't be returning to the forum to ask any more questions since my results are entirely conclusive.
Thank you for your efforts, you are the best

This will be my final response

For third generation tests, which test only for antibodies, results are conclusive after eight weeks.  Please don’t about different tests. Accept your results and move on.

This completes this thread, which will be closed now. Take care. Please don’t worry. EWH.
