YOU ARE DOING GREAT WORK DOCTOR,

I HAVE ENCOUNTER IN CHINA DURING BUSINESS TRIP, 17TH APRIL 2024, I PICK UP GRIL OUT SIDE FROM BAR ,SHE IS FROM KENYA, (price:93USDor600 RMB), SHE DOES CONDOM PROTECTED BLOW JOB AND PROTECTED VAGINAL SEX , SHE DOES NOT ALOWED EVEN KISS,DURING VAGINAL SEX MY CONDOM BROKE, I WASH MY PENIS AFTR THAT, TIME OF BROKEN CONDOM WOULD BE UNDER A 1 MIN, BUT I DONOT REMEMBER IT PERFECTLY. I ASK HER ABOUT STD, SHE SAID SHE HAVE A BABBY,I THINK THAT WAS HER WAY TO SAY SHE IS CLEAN BUT I DONOT TRUST HER, She seems healthy. I HAVE NO symptoms till Today, except very minor scratchy throat. TEST ON 21 DAY - HIV I & II (Immunochromatography/immunofillateration/DOT Immunoassay Serum)-RESULT- NON REACTIVE & 27 DAY - 4TH GEN DUO HIV1 & 2,AgAb LAB TEST (METHOD:SERUM , ECLIA) -RESULT -NON REACTIVE. DO I CAN CONTINUE UNPROTECTED SEX WITH MY WIFE, I Referred YOUR PREVIOUS ANSWERS on Fouram and conclude by my self that it was low risk encounter in terms of HIV. I am also aware about CDC guide line regarding testing and also understand why you recommend 6 week for 4th gen test. what will you do if you were in my situation. I decided to Move Forward without concern.

Welcome to our forum. Thank you for your questions. I’ll be glad to comment. It is unfortunate that your condom broke during vaginal intercourse. FYI, this occurs on about one percent of the time that condoms are used. I hope that this will not prevent you from using condoms in the future.

The risk of acquiring HIV from any single sexual encounter is very, very low. Most people, even most commercial sex workers, do not have HIV. When they do the risk for acquiring HIV from a single sexual encounter with an untreated, HIV infected person is less than one infection, on average, for every 2000 sexual encounters.  The fact that you stopped intercourse soon after the condom broke likely reduces your risk even further. Your test results are additional strong evidence that you were not infected. Results of your fourth generation, combination HIV antigen/antibody test taken at 27 days after the encounter provide you with a more than 99% assurance that you were not infected.  While official, formal recommendations indicate that results for fourth generation HIV tests are not 100% conclusive until a full six weeks (42 days) following an encounter, at four weeks testing such as you had done provides not more than 99% confidence that you were not infected. Neither of us on this forum has ever seen or heard of a person with a negative test at four weeks who went on to become positive for HIV.

In your situation under the circumstances, you describe, like you I would move forward without any concerns whatsoever. EWH.
