[Question #11367] I'm worried and I don't know what to do

hello doctor! I had an unprotected relationship and I was tested 3 times in total with blood analysis (antigen+antibody)+urine for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B+C, Genococcus. 3 weeks / 14 weeks and 8 months after the risk of having unprotected sex more than 3 times with the same person. From this relationship I got genital and oral Hpv… My questions for you are.
1-Can I be completely sure that I am not infected with any of the ones I have been tested for?
2- Could it happen that something returns false negative tests?
3-visible warts that I have 1 on my throat ,and 1 with the genital area, are these warts caused by type 6/11. Can high-risk types cause visible warts in the throat or genital areas? 4-Do you think I should be retested again? Thank you if you can answer me

Welcome to our Forum. Thanks for your questions. I'll be glad to comment. The short answer is that your testing has proven conclusively that you were not infected with the STIs you describe. There is no need for further testing or concern. Regarding your specific questions:
---
1-Can I be completely sure that I am not infected with any of the ones I have been tested for?
Yes your results are absolutely conclusive, proving that you were not infected. There is no reason for further testing
2- Could it happen that something returns false negative tests?
No, your results at 14 weeks were conclusive and are confirmed by getting the same result at 8 months. The results will not change. There is nothing to be gained by further testing
3-visible warts that I have 1 on my throat ,and 1 with the genital area, are these warts caused by type 6/11. Can high-risk types cause visible warts in the throat or genital areas?
I hope that you have had a trained clinician, a dermatologist or other expert, confirm that the lesions you describe are warts. There are many things that are mimic warts and are easily confused.. If they are warts, more than 95% of visible warts are caused by HPV types 6 or 11. Thus is it highly likely that if these lesions are warts, they are caused by HPV 6 or 11.
$. As I said above, there is no need for additional testing
I hope this information is helpful. EWH

I thank you for the professional answers. So I can start my life without fear, and I don't have to worry about the warts because as I read they can go away on their own without any further worries. Good day for you

Typically the so called “ high risk” (remember, only about 3% of “ high risk” types persist- most go away on their own) only very rarely cause visible warts.
I hope this information will allow you to move forward without concern.
This completes this thread. EWH
