[Question #11380] Testing Again?

Good morning Dr’s
Last month I did my semi-annual STD testing and all tests were clear. I was on vacation subsequently and stupidly I visited 3 CSW’s whereby I had protected vaginal sex each time and protected oral on one occasion along with unprotected oral on two occasions. There was nothing else remarkable about each visit, condoms worked normally etc.. My understanding is that protected vaginal and oral is very low risk for anything and unprotected oral is also low risk but not zero as per earlier questions a while back.
What I wanted to ask was whether I should go test again or in the absence of any symptoms (I.e. I don’t have any), or should I just keep with my semi-annual testing. I ask as I have a long term partner but we live apart and I will be seeing her next weekend and I don’t want to risk anything with her health.
Thanks

I should add that this occurred in Dubai and were with ‘expensive’ professional CSW’s who were for sure as concerned for their own health.

Welcome back to the Forum. Thanks for your questions and continuing confidence in our work. Congratulations as well to you on your commitment to your sexual health. I’ll be glad to comment. I would not feel the need to test at this time. Most CSWs in Dubai do not have STIs, your vaginal exposures were condom protected and the most common STI acquired from receipt of oral sex is gonorrhea which is symptomatic more than 90% of the time. Putting all this together, there is little chance that you have an STI and HIV is not a concern. Additional testing is, of course, a personal choice but I would not be worried and would not feel the need to test. EWH---
