[Question #11393] Issues Underneath Despite Treatment

I had unprotected oral sex May 4th.
Symptoms that I had: Weird sensation in tip of penis, pain in pubic area, issues with emptying bladder, had to go more, teste pain, and red scrotum. Majority of my symptoms have gone after numerous treatments however I still have a teste pain that is intermittent, occasional weird sensation in tip of penis, and intermittent pain in the penis (like this morning woke up with it but as I moved around it stopped), and my scrotum is still red except for in the middle. Oh and forgot because this one is relatively newer, there is a very mild burning on scrotum which also is not very consistent.
I have jock itch as well and I am actively treating that. I did notice a really small pimple like thing on my penis, 1 on each side. I popped them both and a not so liquid white came out of it. Not sure if relevant or not.
All my tests are negative and I've had 3 different antibiotics, and anti inflammatory. All tests so far have been negative what could be causing my pain and discomfort? Is there anything I need to be looking for?

Welcome to our Forum. Thanks for your questions.  I'll be glad to comment.  The symptoms you are describing are virtually certainly not related to your receipt of oral sex over 3 weeks ago.    The exposure you describe was very, very low risk.  You do not say anything about your partner but most people, even those who appear to live a risky lifestyle, do not have STIs and if they have STIs, they are less commonly oral than genital.  Further, most single exposures to infected partners do not lead to infection.

Receipt of oral sex is relatively low risk for acquisition of STIs.  There has never been a case of HIV proven to have been acquired by receipt of oral sex and the only STI acquired from receipt of oral sex is gonorrhea which is typically symptomatic and has been ruled out by your negative tests, as well as your lack of response to antibiotics.  Scrotal symptoms are almost never due to STIs and STI symptoms are not asymptomatic as some of your symptoms are.  Finally, symptoms such as urinary frequency are not caused by STIs.

Your scrotal redness and discomfort could be due to a fungal skin infection precipitated by taking antibiotics.  In addition, we find that it is not uncommon for clients who are looking for STI symptoms to notice otherwise normal sensations which would otherwise be overlooked.

Nothing you describe suggests STI to me.  I see no need for further testing and other than exploring the possibility that you have a scrotal fungal infection, I would not be worried.  I hope that this perspective is helpful. EWH

What about the penis pain I keep having? I also have those few spots down there?

I just had an ultrasound done and they're indicating that nothing is wrong down there either :C

Penile pain of the sort you describe is not characteristic of any STI in the absence of completely obvious lesions, which you do not have.  You keep testing and using resources to address your concerns. I am confident that any testing that you do regarding the possibility of an STI will only confirm that you did not acquire one from the virtually no risk exposure you have described.  EWH---

Would it be safe to resume sexual activity as far as not transmitting anything to any partners?

I see no medical or scientific reason for you to abstain from unprotected sex with your partners.

As you know, we provide up to three responses to each clients questions. This is my third response. This thread will be closed shortly without further responses. Take care and please don’t worry EWH
