[Question #11422] STI RISK

Male, 40 years old, general health normal, married in a relationship for 10 years. 26/07/2023 I had a body to body massage with a CSW. The massage was naked without condom. No penetration. The partner massaged me with her body including vigina, with alot of oil. She also massaged my anus with oil, from my body and with new one. She fingered me a little, but not getting inside, just rubing with finger. After 6 months from the encounter (26/07/2023) without any symptoms at all , after a health anxiety crisis that i had, I visited my urologist just for a clinical test. I had ultrasound and everything seems normal. After my visit on 02/03/2024 I started having symptoms : 1) Dull pain in my tummy, 2) tingling (iching) in testicles and groin (up side and left and right side), tingling in my back thighs all the way to my knees, 3) Slight discomfort when urinate. All coming and going. No other symptoms and no discharge. Already had on December a normal urine test with only 0-1 WBC and 0-1 red cells. The only tests I had are two 3rd gen HIV tests fingenprick (negative) after 3 and 7 months after encounter (26/07/2023) and a VDRL test for syphilis in 8 months afterencounter. Questions : 1) Are my HIV and VDRL tests conclusive? 2) Are my encounter of any risk? I am asking specially for bacteria like chlamydia, gonorrhea or any other. If I had contracted something, without symptoms for 6 months, is it possible to have self resolved? 3) I took Cipro for 10 days in my panic before the symptoms, can this have caused them? 4) My semen is white in hand but yellowish in white surface (sink-tissue). Is that normal? I dont know if it was like this always. 5) What are these symptoms and how do you think of them? 6) Can I have sex with my wife freely?

Welcome to our Forum and thanks for your questions. Before I address your specific questions, let me provide some more general information. First, most CSWs do not have STIs, including HIV. Second and more importantly, the activities that you describe were no risk in terms of STI/HIV risk. The CDC and WHO as well as we consider body-to-body massage (frottage) and well as the fingering you describe are all forms of masturbation which pose no risk for STIs including HIV. Your tests reliably provide additional proof that you were not infected. Thus, in reply to your specific questions:
Yes absolutely. There is no need for additional testing
--- 2) Are my encounter of any risk? I am asking specially for bacteria like chlamydia, gonorrhea or any other. If I had contracted something, without symptoms for 6 months, is it possible to have self resolved?
See above. There was no risk for any STI from the exposure you describe.
3) I took Cipro for 10 days in my panic before the symptoms, can this have caused them?
It is doubtful that the symptoms you describe were caused by cipro. It is also doubtful that they are due to any STI. STI symptoms do not come and go and the symptoms you describe are not those of an STI. They are the sorts of symptoms we see in persons who are anxious and who are looking for symptoms. In such situations, persons tend to notice symptoms that they would otherwise overlook.
4) My semen is white in hand but yellowish in white surface (sink-tissue). Is that normal? I dont know if it was like this always.
Yes, this can certainly be normal and does not suggest any STI.
5) What are these symptoms and how do you think of them?
See above
6) Can I have sex with my wife freely?
Certainly. There is no reason for you to worry about having any STI that you might transmit to your wife through unprotected intercourse.
I hope that this information is helpful. Please don't worry. I see no need for additional testing or concern about the encounter that you describe. EWH

Thank you for you response.
Some more questions :
1) My symptoms linger for 3 months now. Can they be related to prostatitis or CCPS? Dull pain, burning in scrotum, mild pain in testicles, like pintced nerves, low back pain, cramps in my lower right back. Also, i feel slight discomfort in the tube that goes to my right orchis. Is it possible to have chronic epidymitis?
2) My last sexual encounter except my wife was 6 years ago. She has tested negative for STIs last year. Can I have something like chlamydia for 6 years and not know it? How soon do they resolve? Chlamydia, gonorrhea or other bacteria. Do all bacteria clear sponteneus without treatment after alot of time?
3) About the colour of semen. Is it normal for it to look yellowish in white surface? Is it common? What are the causes? I am smoking and drinking coffee.
4) Does ultrasounds detect any infections?
5) About the encounter. I finished with a handjob (me on myself) with oil from my body. I fear there were secretions there from the CWS. Is there a possibility I contracted something? Same about the oil used from her to finger me in anus.
6) From your experience, is genital focused anxiety common?

These are good questions. Prostatitis and/or CPPS are reasonable possibilities which cannot be ruled in or out on line. I would suggest seeing a urologist and asking these questions. As I said above, the symptoms you report, as well as your circumstances do not suggest and STI. Thus, in reply to your specific questions:
---
1) My symptoms linger for 3 months now. Can they be related to prostatitis or CCPS? Dull pain, burning in scrotum, mild pain in testicles, like pintced nerves, low back pain, cramps in my lower right back. Also, i feel slight discomfort in the tube that goes to my right orchis. This is certainly a possibility. See my comment above.
2) My last sexual encounter except my wife was 6 years ago. She has tested negative for STIs last year. Can I have something like chlamydia for 6 years and not know it? How soon do they resolve$ Chlamydia, gonorrhea or other bacteria. Do all bacteria clear sponteneus without treatment after alot of time?
While the infections you mention above can clear spontaneously, this is not a realistic possibility in your situation
3) About the colour of semen. Is it normal for it to look yellowish in white surface? Is it common? What are the causes? I am smoking and drinking coffee.
This may well be a normal color. Another good question for the urologist.
4) Does ultrasounds detect any infections?
Ultrasound is often useful in diagnosis of prostate problems.
5) About the encounter. I finished with a handjob (me on myself) with oil from my body. I fear there were secretions there from the CWS. Is there a possibility I contracted something? Same about the oil used from her to finger me in anus.
As I've already said, this is not a realistic possibility
6) From your experience, is genital focused anxiety common?
Yes. After you've seen a urologist, if the problems remain unresolved, counseling may be helpful.
Hope this helps. EWH

Thank you again for your response and your reassuring words, I already am on counseling for my anxiety symptoms. All my symptoms began after me and my wife began to try for a baby. I checked in for fertility issues and everything just started. I write this for some of your subscribers to read, thinking that sometimes anxiety can manifest in strange ways.
For my 2nd response some last questions :
1) About the encounter 6 years ago and the possibility of bacteria. My wife tested negative on Sti' s last year. So I guess as you mentioned, even if I had contracted something 6 years ago, it would have possibly resolved spontaneous?
2) About antibiotics. After my last encounter I had zinadol for 1 week for another reason and cipro for 10 days as I mentioned. Do these antibiotics resolve chlamydia or gonorrhea? I know they are not the first line treatment.
3) About the ping pong effect. If there is one, can it continue consistently or both partners will spontaneus resovle the infection (considering they dont take antibiotics)?
4) About sperm colour. I saw that yellowish sperm is a sign of infection. Is the sperm usually yellowish in a very white surface?
5) My wife had a colpitis due to candida before my symptoms began. Can this have caused my symptoms?
Thank you again and I apologize for my anxiety driven questions.

As you know, this will be the final response as part of this thread. There should be no need for further questions. In reply to your final questions
---
1) About the encounter 6 years ago and the possibility of bacteria. My wife tested negative on Sti' s last year. So I guess as you mentioned, even if I had contracted something 6 years ago, it would have possibly resolved spontaneous?
Your statement is correct although, as I have already said, it is most unlikely that you acquired an STI from the encounter you described.
2) About antibiotics. After my last encounter I had zinadol for 1 week for another reason and cipro for 10 days as I mentioned. Do these antibiotics resolve chlamydia or gonorrhea? I know they are not the first line treatment.
Although you did not need antibiotics, the antibiotics you took would have some activity against gonorrhea and chlamydia. You are worrying needlessly.
3) About the ping pong effect. If there is one, can it continue consistently or both partners will spontaneus resovle the infection (considering they dont take antibiotics)?
This "what if" question is a waste of time. Please don't worry. Neither you nor your wife have STIs.
4) About sperm colour. I saw that yellowish sperm is a sign of infection. Is the sperm usually yellowish in a very white surface?
Repetitive. See my comment above.
5) My wife had a colpitis due to candida before my symptoms began. Can this have caused my symptoms?
Unlikely
This completes this thread. Please don't worry. EWH
