Good after noon this question is for Dr Hunter Handsfield or Dr Edward Cook. About 30 days ago I visited a massage parlor. I’ve been to this place about 4 or 5 times and was always seen by the same massuece. She performed protected oral protected intercourse and u protected rimjob. She licked my anus for about 15 minutes each time. I’m so paranoid from this kind of stuff that I only have intercourse with my boxers on so there isn’t any skin to skin contact. As for the rimjob I always read that Dr Handsfield and Dr cook say that this is a no risk expourse and they haven’t ever seen a case where someone caught a std or sti from a rim job. So I felt it was safe about 4 days after the exposure my symptoms started the first symptom was I stared to feel a heavy feeling around my anus like something was crawling up or constipated. I read online it said infection I started to panic and had a panic attack I started to feel tingling in my genital area and pain in my left testicle so I went to my primary doctor did a full std panel everything was negative she inspected me and said it doesn’t look like herpes to now worry so I went to a urologist because I was having symptoms he diagnosed me with Prostatis and he believe that’s why I’m having those symptoms he inspected my genital area and penis and said he can bet his life I don’t have any stds or sti and gave me antibiotic today is day 14 of taking it I somewhat feel better but still have lower back pain and left testicle pain he said it needs time today is now day 30 I haven’t had any sores or legions on my penis or genital area no painful urinate or no puss coming out can I rule out herpes ? Or any other sti or std can this be Prostatis and the antibiotic needs time my anxiety is thru the roof please lmk

Welcome to our Forum. Thanks for your questions. I'll be glad to comment. You have been evaluated by two trained clinicians, your PCP and your urologist, both of whom felt that there is no evidence of STI- I agree with their assessments. The symptoms you describe are certainly suggestive of prostatitis which is rarely, if ever an STI. Nothing you suggest is in any way suggestive of herpes.
I encourage you to work with your urologist to address the symptoms you have experienced, as well as your concerns. STIs are not the problem. EWH
