[Question #11515] Assess my risk
|
Hello Doctor, I had already this question on Medhelp HIV forum several years back and i got a response from Dr Hook/Hunter that it was a no risk event and no testing needed. At that point of time i was only concerned about HIV and not other STDs. I now have a requirement to do testing for Syphilis and Gonorohhea. This is a massage parlor hand job incident. No sex (anal, vaginal, oral). No penetration. Only hand job. Kindly answer me the following questions:
1) When the massage woman gave me a body shower, she did touch my genitals by washing it with body wash and water.
She also used massage oil and applied on the inner of my penis. The massage oil or water can be a madium for
hiv transmission?
2) I was lying on her and we did some rolling on the bed. Is there any chance that my precum and her vaginal sceretions could have got touched at the genitals and could this lead to transmission. Again she was always
wearing a transparent black panty. Can her vaginal secretions reach my genitals and could this enable hiv transmission?
3) Can her palms/fingers with/without blood or vaginal secretions transmit hiv as she gave me a hand job for couple of minutes. Please advise if i had any kind of risk for Syphilis, Gonorohhea or other STDs

My concerns are only about Syphilis and Gonorohhea. For HIV i was already advised by doctor hook/hunter that it is a no risk and no testing required

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your long time loyalties; it's nice to hear from a MedHelp alum!
But I'm not sure I completely understand. Are you concerned about the exposure several years ago, or has there been a new event? If the old one, of course gonorrhea is not possible; gonorrhea is cleared by the immune system within a few months. Syphilis can persist indefinitely, but can be ruled out with a quick blood test.
Having said that, whether the event was years ago or just yesterday, no STI is possible. No STIs, including HIV, ever are transmitted by hand-genital contact, even if genital fluids are used for lubrication. And simple contact of your skin, anywhere on the body (including scrotum) with a partner's vaginal fluids does not carry any chance of transmission of any infection. So the answer is no to all three exposures you mention: no risk. I would not advise testing for anything. If you have a regular sex partner, you can safely continue your normal sexual practices together without putting her (or him) at risk.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thanks Doctor Hunter. Really appreciate your timely response. Basically for immigration medical exams I have to be tested for syphilis and Gonorohhea. In addition to this I wanted to get clarified on one another lap dance no sex no penetration situation that happened in a strip club. I was clothed wearing a thin adidas sports pant and I had underwear. The stripper gave me couple of lap dances. No sex of any kind and no penetration. But during the lapdance can the rubbing of the stripper transmit anything to my genital through the thin clothing. My genitals were never exposed and I had an erection during those lap dances. Could you please confirm that this again as a no risk activity for all STIs including Syphilis and Gonorohhea

This duplicates part of your initial question. I haven't changed my mind: no risk. No STI can be transmitted through fabric, clothing, etc.---
