Hello, thanks for last time infromation. I tested at day 28 for HIV, syphilis, herpes and hepitis and all of them were negative. But I’m having irritation/ tingling feeling on my penis. I have pain 1-2 on scale of 10. It is not excruciating. I have no sores and urine is clear without any discharge. I’m not able to empty my bladder completely with few drops being left. I feel urine left over inside my penis, not emptying the bladder completely sometimes.

1. Can this be herpes or hpv? As it is already been 4 weeks. Can herpes sore some after this long, you said it will be max 2 weeks. I’m confused as this pain is still here.
2. Anything related to cpps, ureaplasma, mycoplasma or UTI?
3. Have you seen any patient with all negative at 1 month mark and have this pain, tingling feeling. If yes, what did it turn out to be?
4. I havent had sex with my patner since 30 days, can I have it? I’m concerned.

Welcome back -- but I'm sorry to see you're continuing to have concerns about your near zero risk exposure. I am confident your symptoms are not due to any infection from the exposure you are concerned about. If they are related to that event, it is by a psychological route:  your symptoms are typical for genitally focused anxiety in response to a sexual decision you are worried about or that you regret.

1. Neither herpes, HPV, nor any other STD causes such symptoms.

2. Ureaplasma and the genital mycoplasmas are not carried in the oral cavity and therefore cannot be acquired by oral sex; and generally do not cause the symptoms you describe. Your symptoms, however, are typical for CPPS -- which is pretty much the same as genitally focused anxiety.

3. Yes. CPPS or genitally focused anxiety.

4. You have nothing that can harm your regular sex partner and need no further testing. And many urologists advise that sexual release often benefits symptoms like your. You might give it a try.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thanks doctor. I went to urologist to check if there is any bacteria that is causing the tingling or pain. They sent urine for culture.

I have one last question, I have sore throat meaning I have feeling that something got stuck in my throat since this morning. Pain on sclae of 2 to 10. Today is day 32 btw.

1. I received fellatio from a female, I am male. I did not kiss or performed oral on her. I gave blood test but not oral swab. My blood tests were all negative at day 28.
Can I get std in my mouth if I received oral sex (fellatio)? If yes, what kind of std it might be?

2. I’ll update you once I have urine culture results. Thanks for answering patiently.

Your urinary and throat symptoms do not change my judgment or advice.

1. I understood your exposure without this additional explanation. STIs don't travel through the body to unexposed sites. Receiving oral sex cannot cause a throat/mouth problem.

2. Your urine culture will be negative.

Thanks doctor. My urine culture is negative as you said. My tingling sensation went away and I’m feeling much better down.

However my soar throat is bothering me. I still have this feeling that something is stuck in my mouth and it feels very dry. I went to ENT doctor few days back, he said mouth looks little red and recovering from the strep I had. There are no signs of std in mouth. He recommended me mouth wash to kill bacteria and suggested no swab required. I have no other symptoms other than this.

1. Soar throat was ok for few days but I had hookah for 2 days continuously and today I’m having this feeling in my mouth again. Is it because of smoke?

2. Does HIV cause this symptoms, online article says it is. So I’m freaking out. Does HIv symptoms appear after 4-5 weeks? I tested negative on day 28 though. Do I need to test again because of soar throat? Or any other that cause this symptom like herpes or syphilis other sti?

3. Is it because of amoxicillin that I took for strep bacteria casuing this symptom ? Like antibiotics causing digestive issue by killing good bacteria and tight throat? I’m confused and freaking out. Please help.

1. Your sore throat is not due to HIV or any other STD. And anyway, almost all sore throats are due to standard colds and other minor viruses.

2. Yes, HIV can cause such symptoms. But your blood test PROVES that HIV is not the cause for you.

3. It is not because of amoxicillin. Probably a cold virus. Not HIV and not an STD.

Suck it up, believe it, and please do no ask again. Please note the forum does not permit repeated questions on the same topic or exposure. This being your third on this exposure and your symptoms, it will have to be your last one; future questions on these topics will receive no reply and the posting fee will not be refunded. This policy is based on compassion, not criticism, and is intended to reduce temptations to keep paying for questions with obvious answers. In addition, experience shows that continued answers tend to prolong users' anxieties rather than reducing them. Finally, such questions have little educational value for other users, one of the forum's main purposes. Thanks for your understanding.

I do hope this final discussion has been helpful. Do your best to understand and believe the reasoned, science based advice you have had. Best wishes.
