[Question #11564] Condom breaking with escort.
|
I was with about 3 different escorts over the past few months and always used a condom of course. The last escort I was with the condom broke during vaginal sex. I'm not exactly sure when it broke, but I noticed it quickly and stopped. Nevertheless, I am nervous about possible exposure and when and what sort of STI tests I should have done.
Thanks. KB

Welcome to our forum. Thank you for your questions and you were implied confidence in our service. I’ll be happy to provide some information. As a generalization, this was a low risk encounter. The reasons I said that include.:
1. That most commercial sex workers do not have STI’s.
2. That most single encounters do not result in infection.
As a generalization, commercial sex workers tend to be more cautious about STI‘s and STI risk than other potential casual sexual partners. That does not mean that your partner was no risk. The most common STI is acquired from unprotected vaginal sex are gonorrhea and chlamydia. Both of these STI are easily tested for using a urine test anytime more than 3 to 5 days following exposure. A negative test at that time virtually excludes any possibility of infection.
I hope this information is helpful. In general, it is unlikely that you were infected from the condom mishap that you report. If you want to be entirely confident that you were not infected I would suggest a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia. You risk of other STIs such as HIV or syphilis is far, far less than your risk for the two STIs I have mentioned. Depending on your level of concern and anxiety, you may wish to test for syphilis, and HIV in the future. If that is the case, blood tests for both of these infections at six weeks will provide you conclusive and I anticipate, negative, result. EWH.
