Hi, erudites.
IM NOT TO GOOD AT ENGLISH BUT I WILL DO MY BEST

I HAVE A POSIBLE EXPOSURE RISK ENCOUNTER 3 MONTHS AGO, AND I DECIDED TO MAKE THE HIV TEST, 3 MONTHS AFTER THE POSSIBLE EXPOSURE BUT BETWEEN THESE 3 MOTNHS I VISITED 2 SPECIALIST, THE DERMATOLOGIST AND PULMONOLOGIST. MY RESULTS 13 & 14 WEEKS AFTER TO HIV WITH 3RD AND 4TH GEN RAPID WERE NEGATIVE. MY PULMONOLOGIST GAVE ME A TREATMENT FOR ABOUT ONE MONTH OF VANNAIR(BUDESONIDE/FORMOCOR) INHALATE AND FOR 5 DAY DEFLAZACORT IN TABLETS. AFTER THIS MY DERMATOLOGIST GAVE ME A TREATMENT OF TERBINAFINE FOR ONE MONTH AND IM STILL APPLYING ME A TOPIC CREAM DESOWEN WIT 0.05% OF DESONIDE, ISOCONAZOLE AND DEXYANE MED CREM, DUE TO MANY OF THESE OR ALL OF THESE DRUGS ARE IMMUNOSUPRESIVES MY RESULTS ARE RELIABLE?

MY QUESTIONS ARE: ALL THESE TREATMENT COULD DELAY THE WINDOW PERIOD OF THE RAPID TESTS?
NEED I TO REPEAT MY TEST?
ARE TRUSTHWORTHY MY RESULTS?

BEST WISHES

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for your confidence in our services. Your English is fine; I understand your concerns and questions.

There are no medications or drugs that have any effect on timing or reliability of the HIV blood tests. Perhaps some very high potency immunosuppressive drugs might do so (e.g. cancer chemotherapy), but certainly not the drugs you had. And inhaled drugs can never do this. (Terbenafine and isoconazole are antii-fungal treatments, not immunosuppressive at all.

Therefore, your treatments had no effect on your HIV test results. The negative test at 3 months is conclusve and trustworthy; depending on the exact test done, probably it would have been conclusive and reliable by 6 weeks. You don't describe your exposure; with that information, perhaps I could provide additional reassurance.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMPLIHMENT ABOUT MY ENGLISH DOCTOR.
MY ENCOUNTER WAS WITH A FEMALE FRIEND ABOUT 3 MIN VAGINAL SEX WITHOUT CONDOM. SHE CLAIM SHE HAD NOTHING AND SHE IS VERY HEALTHY. I ASK HER TO TAKE THE TEST, SHE DID A 3RD GEN RAPID TEST AT 3 WEEKS AND 12 WEEKS AFTER OUR ENCOUNTER, HER BOTH TESTS WERE NEGATIVE. MY CONCERN IS THAT SHE COMPETE IN FITNESS, AND THE LAST TEST I DO NOT KNOW UF SHE WAS IN A CYCLE OF TESTOSTERONE, TROMBOLONE OR ANOTHER ANABOLIC I DON'T KNOW IF SHE WAS ALREADY IN THE REGIMEN.

So you describe a near zero risk encounter, even if your partner had not been tested for HIV -- and her negative test proves you were not exposed. None of her drugs had any effect on her test results.

You did not need testing. Somehow you have gained the belief that various drugs can affect HIV test reliability. Not true. As in my reply, there are NO drugs that do that. None, period, full stop!

MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS TO HAVE SEX WITH MY WIFE. SO DOCTOR YOU THINK I CAN HAVE SEX WITH MY WIFE WITH NO WORRIES?
I KNOW IS IT NEAR 0 RISK. BUT I WAS CONCERN THAT MY FRIEND HAD AN ACUTE HIV INFECTION THAT AT 12 WEEKS TEST WAS A FALSE NEGATIVE AND ALSO MY 14 WEEK 4TH GEN WERE A FALSE NEGATIVE . DUE TO THE DRUGS THAT WE USED.THAT WAS THE REASON OF THE TESTS AS WELL AS TO SHOW   MY FRIEND THAT I DO NOT HAVE NOTHING.
FINALLY YOU DO NOT RECOMMEND TO TEST AT 6 MONTHS?
THE 3 MONTHS 3RD GEN AND 4TH GEN TEST IS CONCLUSIVE?

BEST WISHES TO YOU DOCTOR.
GOD BLESS YOU. I AM INFINITE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR ATTENTIONS.
IM VERY LUCKY TO FIND YOU AND CALM MY ANXIETY.

There should be no concern about having sex with your wife. It is certain you do not have HIV.

"I WAS CONCERN THAT...12 WEEKS TEST WAS A FALSE NEGATIVE AND ALSO MY 14 WEEK 4TH GEN WERE A FALSE NEGATIVE..." There are 3 possibilities:  1) You did not read my previous replies. 2) You did not understand them. 3) You do not believe them. Which is it? I will not repeat myself except to give the obvious answers below.

"YOU DO NOT RECOMMEND TO TEST AT 6 MONTHS? No.

THE 3 MONTHS 3RD GEN AND 4TH GEN TEST IS CONCLUSIVE? Yes. The 4th gen tests are conclusive at 45 days.

My final advice is that you separate your guilt over a sexual decision you regret from infection risks from that decision. They aren't the same!

Thanks for the thanks. Now do me the honor of believing and accepting my opinions and advice. Isn't that why you're here?

That completes the two follow-up comments and replies included with each question and so ends this thread. Best wishes and stay safe, as you have been!
