[Question #11620] HIV

I met a female sex worker yesterday. She put on a strap-on dildo, and I sucked the dildo. I don’t know if the dildo was clean or not.

I had severe canker sores, severe dry lips, and severe dry corners of my mouth when I sucked the dildo. If the dildo was not clean, for example, if it was contaminated with HIV-containing fluids from her or her previous clients, do I need to worry about HIV? Can I continue my life without testing?

Please ignore the previous post. Here is what my translation software says:

Please let me know if anything is unclear. Thank you.

Your message is quite clear.  Sucking the dildo in the way you describe was a no risk event.  HIV and other STIs are not transmitted on inanimate objects like a dildo.  Even if the dildo has not been cleaned sucking on it would not put you at risk for any infection.  That you have canker sores and dry cracked lips would not change this- still no risk.

No need for concern, no need for testing  EWH
