[Question #11639] Protected oral

Hello Dr's
I'm due to get my 3 monthly STI results shortly but had a question in the meantime. On 5th June I received a handjob and oral sex from a man. I wore a condom for the blowjob but not the handjob. I don't think any part of my penis was uncovered during the encounter but now I'm starting to have doubts.
I noticed a raised bump on my penis on 4th July (top quarter of the shaft, about tumbnail width from the head). It was just a few millimeters in size and looked pinker than the rest of my skin (i'm mixed race so the difference in colour was noticeable). If i fulled the skin taugh or was erect, the colour would pretty much resolve to normal but when flacid would go back to looking pink.
It has stayed roughly the same size. It didn't have a head or any visible puss but did look like there was maybe some fluid in there (sort of like a lymphocele). Last night I noticed there was a small yellow head inside and with barely any pressure a small yellowish head came out followed by a bit of blood. It dried up within minutes and there's a very minute scab covering it now (maybe a pin prick size). The popping was the only wetness I've observed. Before and after this it's been bone dry.
Is this anything to worry about? I took a full panel test on 16th July so that would be 41 days since the encounter. Any worries of syphilis or anything else? Also, if my tests all come back negative would this be enough time to cover a condition such as syphilis or anything else? Would I need to re-test or would any results be conclusive for this encounter?

Just to add, the bump has never been open with the exception of the small popping last night and now it's dry again

Welcome back -- but I'm afraid your questions are becoming excessive. It should not be necessary to return to us every time you have a new exposure or symptoms that concern you. Part of my reply from the most recent of your previous questions, a few months ago:
Even though the STD risk is near zero in all these situations, it is not irrational for you to have these fears. The way to deal with them is NOT to keep coming to this or other online sources for reassuring advice based on exposures and symptoms. Instead it is for you to be tested from time to time for the common and potentially serious STDs, even when you "know" there was little risk. The negative test results probably will help you a lot more than repeated advice on this forum. Therefore, I ask that you stop asking such questions here -- but instead from time to time have blood tests for HIV and syphilis and, depending on the kinds of sexual exposure since the previous tests, urine and/or oral testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia. The exact frequency is up to you, but every 6-12 months might be about right.
Your initial reaction to the June 5 event was correct: no risk at all. Therefore, the penile bump cannot be related to that event. And over 95% of genital skin problems are things other than STD, and therefore outside our domain for advice. All I can do is suggest that you see a doctor if the problem persists or you otherwise remain concerned. We discussed the timing for syphilis testing in one of your past threads. Here it is again:
As you have learned, there is controversy and uncertainty about timing of reliable syphilis testing. Six weeks probably is plenty, but because of uncertainty --and variability between different types of screening tests -- conservative advice is often to wait 8 or even 12 weeks. However, it is rare for it to take that long.
I would consider your 41 day negative result to be conclusive, since the possibility of syphilis was zero to start with.
