Dear Doctors , Thanks for all your efforts in this forum
I was visiting thai massage parlors in my country a lot. i was received a( handjob - anal fingering - oral sex ,and some times) including genital fluids of masseuses ( male ) also im male . i have never had penetrative sex in my life (vaginal or anal sex) or giving oral sex .
i didn't know about STD transmission methods that time so i become anxiety and decided to make STDs test and all came negative (thanks god) . it was 4 month after last (reception oral sex) and 40-50 days after last mutual masturbation - receiving fingering in my anus maybe with partner genital fluids.  The test was HIV 1&2 ABS . i was find myself become anxiety about accuracy of HIV test and window periods ( i didn't know about it and about gen of tests). i experienced symptoms like nubbness in legs and hands and tingling in my body ( after 8 month from last test) it is from hiv or stress and obsession.
i Have some specific questions 1- is mutual masturbation (receiving fingering with genital fluids of partner -semen - pre-semen is risk and infection HIV possibly?
and i would like to know your professional advice from medical perspective , should i need to other HIV test or STD,s test from the events i do. Im planing to make a HIV combo (ab/ag) test to rest my mind because im over thinking about it. and im afraid from the results (positive/false positive) also im looking to married and i afraif about pre-marriage test in my country.
im really want to end this and move on my life . i appreciate your advice and reassurance.

I have another question maybe out of topic from my growing anxiety.

When I browse social media sites, I read about some HIV infections have occurred in cosmetic clinics. In treatment called (vampire facials) who received platelet-rich plasma with microneedling.

i have been do this treatment after months of last hiv test i do in (july 2022) And  i became nervous about it and ( What if question comes to my mind)

a-What if the nurses make mistakes and change my PRP with other person

b- What if the nurses didn’t change the microneedles with new one and there is others blood in it .

I know it’s obsessive questions , but its come to my mind .

It is risk of hiv and did i need to test?

The clinic where I was treated is licensed and famous in my country.

Welcome to the forum. Thanks you for your kind opening comments.

One of the most common and consistent themes on this forum, and a core element of our routine advice, is that there is little or no HIV risk from sexual activity except true intercourse:  if an unprotected (no condom) penis does not enter a partner's vagina, rectum or (rarely) mouth, there is no risk. The virus is rarely if ever transmitted by genital-genital contact without penetration, kissing, hand-genital contact (even when genital fluids are used for lubrication), fingering, massage, etc. Even unprotected oral sex can be considered entirely safe:  there have been very few HIV transmissions penis to mouth/throat, and none at all proved to have occurred from mouth to penis. This does not prove that HIV can never be transmitted by such events, but obviously the risk is exceedingly low. And with rare exceptions, the same is true for all STDs -- except that oral sex is a genuine (but still low) risk for gonorrhea, herpes, and nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). To your specific questions:

Mutual masturbation:  no risk, see above.

Do you need to be tested? HIV test decisions are not dictated only by risk level. It's often appropriate to be tested just for the reassruance of a negative result, even if the risk was little or none. For that reason, you should feel free to be tested for HIV and other STDs if you wish.

Browsing social media, unusual transmission (e.g. during cosmetic services), etc:  To my knowledge, there has never been a scientfically documented case of HIV transmission due to an injury or other mechanism during cosmetic services. Be very careful about interpreting what you see online. Anybody can write anything they want, and there are innumerable bad actors out there -- I suggest limiting searches about HIV/STD risk and prevention to professionally run sites (like academic medical resources, professional oganizations, public health agencies, and the like); or to professionally moderated sites like this one. And generally ignore sites run by and for people at risk or anxious about HIV and other STDs (like Reddit, for example).

Persons drawing blood for HIV testing rarely if ever misuse the equipment in the ways this implies. For the most part, the equipment is designed to prevent it. To my knowledge there has not been a known case of HIV transmission from blood drawing or other medical procedure for over 30 years.

The bottom line is that you should not be at all worried about HIV until and unless you start having intercourse.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Dear Dr HHH,

I would like clarification about “ This does not prove that HIV can never be transmitted by such events, but obviously the risk is exceedingly low. And with rare exceptions” for mutual masturbation and fingered anus with genital fluids . And “No Risk” in answering the specific question.
I'm a little conflicted. Is it  No risk for HIV and no need for testing?

Also is mutual masturbation and fingered anus with genital fluids is safer then (protected Insertive sex  penis enter to vagina , rectum with condom)?

Also I would ask about accuracy of HIV 1&2 ABS test in 40-50 days after fingered with genital fluids event?

Finally, if you were in my place, you would take a HIV test
Thank you very much doctor for your consultation

There are few absolutes in STD/HIV risk, aside from masturbation. Any intimate contact conceivably could transmit HIV. I can't say anything more detailed than the statement you quote. If you want true, absolute 100% certainty against HIV, you'll have to stop any and all sex with other persons.

I'm not sure what you mean by "ABS" test; that's not standard terminology. If you mean AgAb (4th generation), it's 100% conclusive by 40-50 days.

No, at a personal level I would not have had any HIV tests if somehow I were in your situation.

the lab wrote it like this "HIV 1&2 ABS" it means Antibodies only,  is 100% conclusive in 40 - 50 days?
also i have read some answers in this forum is Nobody ever gets HIV from Fingering ,even if fingers have HIV infected fluids on them. is that mean its risk free and "safer" from protected sex with condom that maybe fails some time?
and thanks again for all your advices

The standalone HIV antibody tests require up to 8 weeks for conclusive results. 40-50 days probably is 98-99% certain.

If you're going to split hairs in this manner, I would agree that such contact could transmit HIV. But with no cases known to have occurred, the risk obviously is near zero. You cannot expect any more certainty about it. Similar situation for condom protected sex:  major reduction in risk, but condoms to sometimes fail.

That concludes this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful. Best wishes and stay safe.
