[Question #11809] Oral STDs

Hello about 1 week and half ago i performed unprotected cunnilingus and anallingus on a sex worker,
Tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea 4 and 5 days after exposure results where negative are my result conclusive? I have read online that it can take 14 days to be detected is that true ?
I got treated for syphillis with penicillin 5 days post exposure just to be safe is there a possibility i could have infected my regular partner within the first 5 days before getting treated ? I never noticed any sores. Could i have been infectious within 5 days of exposure if i did happen to get infected by the sex worker.
Also me and my regular partner have been vaccinated for HPV, My partner received before being sexually active i only received one dose before being sexually active and received 2nd dose after being sexually active with multiple partners. What are the odds of getting HPV from the cunnilingus or anallingus exposure ? We both had gardisil 4 so i know there a lot more other strains we could be in risk for.
Also what are the chances of getting HIV through this exposure? I read a comment where DR hook said there has only been a few cases of HIV through Cunnilingus, But then again most of his other comments say there has never been a case ? I notice you guys have different answers with same type of exposures which is why it makes me worried.
What are the odds i contracted oral HSV-2 From cunnilingus or anallingus ?
Should i worry about other STI in my mouth like Mycoplasma and Trich ? Ive seen a few of your posts on here that say different things, Some say no chance and some say its rare What is the truth ?

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your questions and your confidence in our service. I'll be glad to comment:
Your tests for oral gonorrhea and chlamydial are conclusive. Be confident you did not acquire oral gonorrhea or chlamydial. No need to test for trich or Mycoplasma genitalium. These organisms rarely if ever infect the oral cavity and are not meaningfully acquired or transmitted through oral sex.
Your HPV vaccine will protect you from oral HPV. Not only is oral HPV less often acquired through oral sex (it is a biologically less efficient, i.e. less likely to occur, process) but most oral HPV infections are due to HPV 16 a component of the vaccine. I would not worry at all about oral HPV
I hope this information is helpful. I encourage you to put your concerns behind you and move forward. EWH

Syphilis is transmitted through direct lesion contact. You could not have transmitted syphilis to your partner within the 5 days before taking preventative therapy that you took.
Dr. Handsfield's and my assessments regarding HIV risk are the same despite our slightly different verbiage. There is virtually no risk from acquiring HIV from cunnilingus in the very unlikely circumstance that your casual partner had untreated HIV. There are a couple of cases reported among women who have sex with other women who MAY have acquired HIV through oral sex. These are the "exceptions that prove the rule".
I think you are worrying far more than you need to.
You have one follow-up remaining. EWH

So what your saying is there is no risk for HIV through cunnilingus but somehow it has happened before ? How does that make sense. What is difference between Hetereosexual and Woman who have sex with Woman, Do i need to get tested ? Was my risk big if she was infected ?
As far as syphillis could it have been possible to have developed a lession within 5 days after exposure before i got treated ? I didnt notice anything in my mouth but maybe there could have been something tiny i couldnt see.
As far as HPV how often do you see the vaccine fail and how often do you see vaccine no responders with the HPV vaccine. Could i have got a wart strain in my mouth and pass it to my regular partner by kissing or giving her oral if i have it in my mouth?

Sigh- you're really worried/guilty, aren't you.
The few women who have sex with women had repeated exposures. If their infections were due to oral sex, this is too rare an occurrence to have even been comprehensively studies. The CDC ESTIMATES the risk of oral HIV from cunnilingus as being no greater than 1 in 10,000 (i.e. like have sex with an untreated infected person daily for more than 27 years) but the rates are so low that they cannot be more definitive. We have NEVER seen or heard of a heterosexual acquiring HIV through cunnnilingus- maybe your the first but I doubt it and would bet the bank that you did not . Feel free to test- I am confident that your testing will be negative.
The average time to development of a syphilis lesion is 21 days, Five days would be exceptionally early. Further, syphilis rates in women are very low- the rate in American women is less than 0.001%.
Warts, including oral warts take 2-3 months to develop and are rare. AS I already told you, most oral HPV is HPV 16, not HPV 6 or 11, the types which cause over 95% of visible warts (and are included in the vaccine). The vaccine is over 97% effective for preventing HPV infections due to the vaccine types- we do not see non-responders. As I've already said, given the relative rarity of oral HPV and the fact that you are both vaccinated, your partner is not at meaningful risk for HPV.
This is the final response to this thread which will be closed shortly without further replies. EWH
