[Question #11831] Oral scare

Thanks for your service,  received massage where service included extras.  Before I knew that was the case the female put the tip of my penis in her mouth, 2 seconds tops before I got up and left.  I’ve read a bunch of info here on this site and realize the odds of such circumstances.  However 5 days later began having urgency to pee and slight burning sensation.  No discharge in underwater but could see whiteish fluid when looking inside.  Also after urination lots of dribbles of urine…..took 800mg cefixme and 7 days doxy (from online doc service out of fear). Symptoms got better after taking.  Or was this all just anxiety?  Question when can I test for cure after these meds?  Was I ever infected? Can I have protected sex with my wife 7 days after treatment or should I wait and test?

I understand that my only real fear is Gonorrhea in this instance.  All others are pretty much out and even gonorrhea is very unlikely.   However the symptoms were very real and seemed to get better after taking the meds.   Thanks again

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for your confidence in our services.

You have neither gonorrhea nor any other STI from his event. Thanks for reading other threads with questions like your own:  you correctly understand that such a brief oral exposure carries little or no risk. As for your symptoms, they are not those of gonorrhea or any other STI. As you suggest yourself, they are typical for genitally focused anxiety; and a small amount of "whitish fluid" in the penile opening is not abnormal. Had you come to my clinic (or asked your question before now), we would have not recommended the treatments you had. I really see no need for testing, but if you really feel you need confirmatory testing, you can do it a week after completing doxycycline. But there is no reason to not continue unprotected sex with your wife right now. Even if you had been infected, within hours of cefixime gonorrhea cannot be transmitted; an and the same is true for chlamydia after the first few doses of doxycycline.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

So to follow up and I will be done.
1.  Odds of infection 1% ?
2.  The meds taken would have cured if acquired ? know oral gono is harder to cure so didn’t know if I had gotten it from that persons mouth if that strain also would be harder to kill in my urethra and that dosage wouldn’t be strong enough?..
3.  The long dripping of urine after urinating is not an std sign?  Urgency to pee and slight discomfort?  All these symptoms seem to have returned after reaching out to you, so I’m guessing it’s anxiety?
4.  I can continue regular sex with partner at this time?l and no testing necessary, even with these symptoms?
5.  Let it go?

1. No data available, but well under 1% chance. Probably under one in thousands, even if she had oral gonorrhea -- which is unlikely. Considering that low chance, probably under one chance in millions.
2. Yes, virtually 100% certainty of cure.
3. No. STD doesn't do this. Muscle tension in the bladder is responsible, and that's usually psychological. If you're getting into middle age or above, there could be a component of prostate enlargement.
4. Answered above. Yes and yes.
5. Yes.
